how to flash to WM6.5 ...
*
Flashing WM6.5 (cooked ROM)
Here are simple rules to prepare yourself:

1. You are ready to Hard Reset your device which means all current data
will be lost and you need to reinstall your Contacts, SMS, Appointments,
etc, u can use software "PIMBackUp" to back-up all those (its a free
software so google it) .. and also need to reinstall all applications,
registry tweaks etc.. (this must done be manually)

2. You must follow instructions below, i dont make that instructions, its a
guideline taken from xda-developers, u can always refer there if you feel
doubtful.

The installation (or we call it "flashing") is very easy.. U just have to
Back-Up data, HardSPL your Touch Pro, and finally flash the WM6.5 ROM and
you're done..

Here are the instructions, please follow these simple steps below:

1. Download these two files HardSPL and Shep's ROM WM6.5 with Rhodium
2. Back-up your data using PIMBackUp as stated above
3. Flash HardSPL into your TP. This will hard reset ur
device (make sure u connect activesync, TP battery life above 50% and PC has been disabled auto-
standby, hibernate etc)
4. Check whether your TP has successfully HardSPL'ed by press and hold the volume
down button, then press reset button with stylus. It will show tricolour
screen and show "1.90.OliNex" .. If everything ok, proceed with next steps
5. Then flash Shep's ROM WM6.5 with Rhodium.. also install the cab file included (for keyboard fix)
6. Restore your back-up data
7. Done

It's simple right? rclxms.gif

*Warning: if u don't HardSPL your TP, u will brick (kaput) your device permanently.. don't ask me what and why HardSPL coz i don't know, i oso follow instructions from the expert tongue.gif last but not least, flashing HardSPL and WM6.5 are on your own risk icon_rolleyes.gif

Ur current WM6.5 is not official/registered .. and i think HTC doesn't even endorsed this WM6.5 .. it was cooked by experts (named Shep) by using the leaked original WM6.5 version.. same also with TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) .. its cooked also, not official from HTC ... but who cares.. as long we can use the new 'OS' with superb performance  thumbup.gif i'm totally satisfied with it!

if use Route Simulator, the car moves pretty slow like crawling.. i dunno is that normal or our TP is slow.. i'm saying based on my current WM6.5 ... when i was with 6.1, the car was crawling too.. i guess our TP pretty sucks in rendering graphic LOL.. i never used any cooked 6.1 ROM .. i used stock 6.1 from HTC .. i hope i have answer your questions

Search xda developers and there are a lot of discussion on this. At first people think that it is due to the GPS receiver, but then it was narrowed down to the slow graphics redraw, purportedly due to the lack of graphics device drivers that utilises the hardware acceleration available on the built-in ATI Imageon GPU. To rule out GPS receiver issue, select a route and run it using route simulator.

sending back to SIS with non stock SPL will definitely void the warranty.....

i'll suggest you to try these;

1. remove out the battery for few minutes [ 5 min ]....and reinsert it back. if it still doesn't work, try to hard reset it

2. try use another charger as bro pcboy mentioned earlier

3. if all above still couldn't work, try to use another new battery [ go to any htc accessories shop, pretend to buy a new battery and test it on the spot.. tongue.gif ]

UPDATE: HOW TO RETURN TO STOCK SPL - FOR WARRANTY REASONS ONLY!

1. Be sure to first restore stock OS, and stock radio. stock SPL is always to be done last!!
2. Download the stock spl package here.
3. Also download the original Hard-SPL.
4. Run the hardspl.exe but do not click anything in RUU yet. just let the hardspl EXE extract the files for flashing.
5. The SPL you want to revert to is a .NBH file, put the NBH in the extracted hardspl package, overwriting the original NBH file in it!
6. Continue with the RUU (or if needed, run SSPL-Manual.exe manually, then run RUU when it goes to black screen), it goes to 100%, reboots, done.
7. To verify, volume down + reset, see version number on tricolour screen, should now just say 1.90.0000. that's it.

Hi bro OldNewspaper, here is how my TP symptom looks like... : I tried to turn on the device but the screen do not display anything including the backlight as well but the device will vibrate once ( as what TP will vibrate when device is reset or turned on )

I've tooked out the battery as what you mentioned for more than 5 hrs but still the same result. I've used various chargers also including my ol' rw6828 charger but no avail. Now only left to test is with a new battery. I might need to try to use your technique hehehe tongue.gif

Btw I've used HardSPL the second day I bought my TP, so I don't suspect any software issues here... but I could be wrong... I've used official TP ROM with hardSPL for no prob. i just noticed my TP became like this after when I wanted to call someone which the TP was in my pda pouch...

Hi antipoison, the HardSPL process went well and its quite safe. I've flashed various ROMS but still found that official ROM is still faster with OldNewspaper's & other contributors in LYN's tweaks. Its just that the device just suddenly failed on me when I needed it sad.gif. I've looked through other forums on the net and found most of TP users faced the same problem more like pre-mature failure of some batches of TP.

as last resort, try reset ur device into bootloader mode by pressing n hold volume down button and cucuk your soft reset button with stylus.. hopefully it shows the tricolour screen.. if it shows, then soft reset again ur device.. if it doesnt show, i pull myself on this matter.. sending ur device to SIS is the real solution.. i pray ur TP will recover again in a miracle way smile.gif

still got vibrate when turn on but the the screen is black out......is there even any start up sound? sweat.gif i haven't experience this before...but anyway here's some checklist for you...

posibility 1 : hardware issue

firstly, take out the battery and check the 3 pin connector on your TP [ the gold color pin which physically touch the battery ] - check is any of the pin dented / broken especially the middle pin. if dented, try straighten it back, reinsert battery and turn it on again....if all the 3 pin are in good conditions, proceed to the next step:

possibility 2 : bad radio rom / bad flash

follow bro pcboy instruction, enter into bootloader mode....if you can manage to into bootloader means you had a bad flash [ very highly the radio culprit ] previously...don't take any chances anymore, immediately flash back to stock spl and rom.

if still cannot turn on, the only possibility is : dead screen / fried board...send back to SIS and pretend that you're still noob using pda and if they voice out about warranty void because of custom spl/rom.....simply tell them it's not your fault, tell them it's your phone dealer whom 'install' the cooked rom for you without even noticing it... tongue.gif

cheers up bro!
