I re-flashed my radio, and I'd make sure that your QuickGPS has been updated.

are you using the latest stock ROM? besides, have u installed the gps fixes that released by the HTC?
furhtermore, how long it is since the last time u successfully use ur gps? if it kind of long, it will take awhile to lock on the satelite signal... besides that, from experience, if the last location that you success lock on the satelite signal is significantly far from you current location, it will take some time too.
For example, the last use is at West Malaysia, when i back to kl.. its take more than 5minutes to get the satelite signal.

the last time i used it was like last year december. But i remember trying to get a fix inside a toilet, the satelite bars are jumping around trying to get a fix. But it wont fix till i get to the open air. But now the bars are like missing. The radar dont have any satelites(numbers)...sad.gif

baron, i am on original OS and roms..but it wont work. Even my wife diamond is having the same case. Or the gps module will get spoilt after some time?
i tried the AGPS method, none work.

Or the garmin itself has been corrupted? Both phones garmin was installed at the same shop...

I suggest you turn on your Garmin and just leave it in the open, for at least 5 mins. Dont move it around. Leave it on your car or outside with clear sky. Should get it within 5-10 mins.

custom rom a.k.a cooked rom normally doesnt include a radio. only stock rom would have a radio.

u can download a radio from xda website and flash it just exactly like flash other rom.

radio wont affect stability of phone, but will affect call quality, gps signal locking, battery life and stuff like that.

guys, need your help. Flashed my HTC touch pro to Tael ROM. But, gotta send it in for servicing. Damn keyboard's giving trouble. Anyone can give me the link to properly flash it back to stock rom ? I've already downloaded the rom upgrade from htc's website. Just need the steps.

Thanks smile.gif

If your battery life is normal,GPS lock is ok and phone reception are ok then you can use your existing radio
Only flash radio when you get abnormal battery life etc biggrin.gif
