notebooks display port can only output signals, not for receiving external inputs.
so no you cant do it out-of-the-box, unless if you use another additional device (tv card / capture card) connected to usb port or expresscard/pcmcia/whatever port

Then I can use the method that you explained using the Y Splitter to play my Ps3 ? Is this recommended or I'm better off getting a cheap monitor ? TV Turner cards as in these ? TV CARDS

normally tv tuners come with a port for external input (yellow RCA or s-video), but some may not have it. check the datasheet/manual before buying. lags/delays might happen because it needs the computer's processing power process the signal and display them on the screen. also note that the highest resolution for 95% capture card is only standard definition (480i/576i)
it is better if you just get a proper monitor/display for gaming imo

does ps3 games uses dolby digital 5.1 or dolby true HD for its sound?
is Dolby True HD and DTS HD only for blue ray movies? i don't watch blu ray movies so is it not necessary to buy a home theather set with dolby true hd and dts hd decoding function with 7.1 speakers?
if that's the case, i can just settle with sony DDW3000 5.1 home theather. Is this setup ok? anyone using it? what is its sound quality? is there better home theater set in the price range of rm1500?

I'm so envy for you. Any 2.1 Subwoofer channel is pleasant to me already. Didn't have much money to invest on sound system.

There are quite a number of games which has support for Linear PCM 5.1 as well. The DDW3000 is pretty much fine as it is though IMO.

IF I'm not mistaken , The monitor has their own power source cable , Then I gotta use what vorchiel had stated at the first pages ... Use the Y Splitter and stuffs and external speaker.

in ps3 internal hdd
the only thing can you do is view its accumulated size (for each game) and delete it (if you believe that they are corrupted or something).
it is under game -> game data
for some games, installed file from bd + updates + dlc = game data
other games separate dlc from the game data and it will show as two separate items under game -> game data section
