Yea, had been using those third party cables so far and doesnt cause any trouble.

One thing weird i realise recently on my EnergyROM. When a call is received and i accept the call, it is still vibration for at least a couple of more seconds before i actually accepted the call. Anyone had the same problem?

Anyone here is actually on Gen.Y D2/D2X? Do they have a version that is actually on WM6.5/WM6.5.3? I tried downloading the D2X (alright, i cant resist the temptation of trying Sense2.5 although i know they are worse than the Sense2.1 in term of memory consumption), but it seems they only have a version for WM6.1.

hey all the brothers there... im goin to buy a 2nd hand htc diamond.. im just wondering.. what i need to check when i cod with the seller.. n can teach me how to check it?.. pls help~
*
My recommendation would be to check thoroughly the touch sensitive screen and make sure its flawless. Then i would check the battery and see whether its working fine or not. Other than that, just do your usual check when purchasing a handphone.

Try OzROM I posted last few thread and install along the Extras you will love it cause overall memory usage is around 76% only and what can I say after installing all the cabs and the group editor I can say this sense 2.5 is 99.9% working and moreover it's wm 6.5.
*
Great to hear that. Gonna give it a try then. BsB had been extremely slow when it comes to ROM release nowadays. I just love their clean ROMs.

Update :

Just flashed to GenY D2X with WM6.1 and Sense2.5. So far so good and doesn't seem to be lagging. Update my radio to 1.13 as well. So good so far. Hoping it will be a nice rom. If not, going to try the OzROM instead. smile.gif

Edited :

Anyone here using the GenY D2X knows how to change the stupid menu from list back to the icons version? And anyone knows a good shutdown/restart program for TD? Apparently, when pressing the power button, it only deals with ShutDown, as originated from TD. The ones from EnergyROM or BsB is better which includes sleep and soft reset.

sifu again, if i want to change 6.5 back to 6.1, is it possible ah? and how ah? thanks
*
Do it the same way as how you change it to 6.5 in the first place smile.gif

Update on the Gen.Y D2X ROM. Was very laggy after 24 hours. Turned on the WiFi, request for an update in Twitter and it hangs. Memory usage hovers at about 78%. My first soft reset with this phone. Otherwise, its really good. Love the vibrate on touch feature.

need a little help here.
how to do hard reset after flashing new rom?
hard reset mean format my internal storage?
*
Hard Reset means to restore back to the manufacturer default. Usually, it only flashes the ROM and leave the Internal Storage alone.

To Hard Reset : Press the reset button (the one at the stylus), together with the Volume Down + Circle. A menu will pop up. Press Volume Up (or the one that says "Restore to Manufacturer Default). and it will automatically hard reset for you.

If you want to flash the internal storage, do the same way. But instead of pressing Volume Down, press Volume Down (or the one that says "Restore Manufacturer Default and flash MoviNand). It will flash the internal storage.

Edited. It was vice versa tongue.gif

is that mean i will flash back to factory rom instead of third party rom?
wat i wan to do with my phone is delete all application and reinstall all.
my phone pack with application.
*
No. It will flash back to whatever ROM that is already installed inside. For example, if you already flashed it to BsB WM6.5, after you do a hard reset, it will STILL be WM6.5 smile.gif So, no worries.

And it depends on where you previously install the application. If it is at the phone ROM, then just a normal Hard Reset will clear all of them. If they are installed in the Internal Storage, then you need to format the MoviNand as well. Like i say, press Volume Down + Circle + Reset, then press Volume Down again when required.

As far as i know from my search in XDA, there still aint any release for a stable version of Android out there for the TD. However, i believe some of them here have use them before and reported only several things are unavailable in Android. Like Camera and GPS i believe.

LOL..I suggest wait for the Windows Mobile 7. Hopefully that will be awesome as well. And if the TD cant really support it by then (its already having a tough time with WM6.5), probably gotta do a switch tongue.gif

Hi Aavatar/ or anybody else who has this problem.

It looks like you're really versed with the diamond and I need some huge guidance from you. My HTC has some touch screen problems. When I touch a certain spot, it actually identifies it to a different button, example, when i press 6, it goes to 1 on the dialing keypad. I tried hard reseting the phone and now I can't get anywhere because I can't calibrate the screen.

Would really appreciate your reply.
Thanking you in advance.
*
Question here, why cant you calibrate the screen?

You can try recalibrate it here [Start --> Settings --> Screen --> Align Screen] to see whether it helps or not.

If can't calibrate I think your Touch Screen of your screen already burse and what is my advise is send it for repair, for my experience on this was my O2 Mini, the same problem can't calibrate after hard reset the five point screen calibration keep on looping, when I send for repair they said the screen calibration air pocket has burse and have to replace the whole screen.
*
If its the LCD, and the unit is out of warranty, i think the best choice would be to get a second handed TD instead tongue.gif Pretty sure the price of fixing a new LCD is going to cost even more tongue.gif

oic. then i cant changeback to WM6.1 already ah?
*
You can. If you have HardSPL before, just follow the steps you did when you flash to WM6.5 (I assume you did it on your own). This time, replace the image of the WM6.5 with image of the WM6.1 of your choice.

i did  install the HSPL. so tat mean i need to reinstall the HSPL to change back my 6.5 to 6.1 ah? is it?

thanks sifu here smile.gif
*
No. If you have already done HardSPL, then you can skip that part. What you need to do now is to find a suitable WM6.1 image for yourself, save it into the internal memory, and use MTTY to flash the phone into another ROM (which is the rom saved in the internal memory).

Yes indeed. If you have done HardSPL prior to this, you do not need to do it again. You only need to do it once and from there, you can flash to any Custom ROM available. Getting bored with GenY D2X tongue.gif Gonna source around for another Sense2.5 ROM tongue.gif

any compatibility issues like certain icon not functioning when u clicked on it?

Havent install it. Downloaded it and was on my way to flash until i started reading the instructions on the page and it became kinda complicated. Much more complicated than the usual thing and i back out tongue.gif

Now on Revolution 7 Titanium ROM. Simple rom with good memory usage but having trouble with the Screen Lock. It just wont detect at times a slide.

im on Gen-Y android and Gen-Y D2X both in my diamond!
u dont have to dump ur current rom but to place android system file in root(internal storage) and Gen-Y dual boot at startup.
*
Wow..How good is it? I am concern about the way to install it. I cant seem to fully understand the Dual Boot thing.

step1, flash Gen-Y dual boot android --> hardreset+format noviand
step2, flash to Gen-Y d2x wm6.1 sense.(dont format noviand or u will loose ur android files)

ur phone is ready switch between wm/android
*
Any idea about doing it the other way round? Just did GenY Dual Boot D2X inside and now wanted to install the Android. Did you flash it the same way using MTTY?

alo2..
quite new to diamond phone..
want to ask sifus here what radio version is the best for diamond eh?

btw im using the stock rom 1.93.831 with radio 1.00.25.05

tq2 for the feedback..
*
If the radio is working well for you, then keep it. I am running 1.13 for a while now and it had been working fine together with my GenY D2X. Heard there is 1.15 as well but no idea how that one works.
