Hi.

I normally pay for my father's postpaid bill.
Normally by cash since his bill was mailed to his office  doh.gif
And he seldom went there  sweat.gif

Is there a way to pay bills other than at the Celcom, Jalan Ampang counter & ATM?
*
if you dont have the bills statement, you still can pay at any celcom branches, celcom tele-centre, celcom point, bluecube outlet, or via online banking, credit card, or simply apply auto-billing (get 5% rebate).. all you need is account number and a phone number..

Just get a celcom no, 013, but cant sms, why? Service provider problems or my phone setting prob?
*
prepaid or postpaid?

first you have to activate the simcard by making the first call to any number.. once activated, you should have no problem to use sms

one more thing, check the SMS Service Centre no in sms setting (but usually hp nowadays can get these setting automatically)

and of course, make sure you have credit left.. and its still within validity period..

actually for celcom postpaid, they can disable voicemail under call forwarding menu on their phone.. simply deactivate the call fowarding for all (not answered, not available, busy) or you may also foward it to alternative number to replace the voicemail number..

for celcom prepaid, yes you have to call 1111 and ask the celcom representative to deactivate your voice mail function..

i prefer xpax blackberry, because rm1/day (social) or rm2.50/day (BIS) is optional (athough it is auto renew, but we can cancel it at anytime).. so i can subscribe only when needed.

rm998 plus no upfront payment.. hehe

usually in the first bill, there are some 'one time charges' applied, such as duty stamp, pro-rate charge, etc.. if u could post the screenshot of your bill statement, or simply copy it from the online customer service here?

ok, now i understand

- one time charge is for stamp duty (RM10)
- monthly fee, is your minimum comitment fee (RM50) although your actuall usage is RM1.32 only
- pro-rate is to adjust your first charge with your billing cycle. (RM10)
- 5% tax/itemised billing (RM3)

so total charge RM73.

from what i see, u already made a payment rm50 (maybe during registration or whatever, but if you haven't pay anything yet to celcom mean the rm50 is free registration fee from celcom).

so total final overdue left RM23 only.

note: pro-rate only being charge in first bill (for new registration, or if you are changing plan in the middle of billing cycle, for example switching to CEP250). this is because, celcom cannot charge just a few day usage as a one month bill (i dont know how to explain lol, but u get my point right?).

if we check balance using *118#
is the unbilled charge also calculate the amount that we call/sms our subline ?
*
no, because call/sms to subline is free.. so it will not included in unbilled charge.. but if u exceed the limit and use all the free hours/sms per month, then it will included in the unbilled charge.

QUOTE(Johore @ Oct 16 2009, 12:24 PM)
just wanna ask..is there any charges apply if let we wanna change our sim card to 3G simcard?
*
if you using celcom more than 24 month, it should be free. but if you are new customer, you have to pay rm5.
