Anyone using the Facebook via SMS by Celcom? I tot it is a good product since it's freaking cheap at RM1/week UNLIMITED SMS and also you can subscribe to your friends status updates like 24/7/365. Any comments so far?
*
yes, im using it since three weeks ago. now i can response to every update instantly (although i can open facebook directly on my phone browser but i need to refresh the page to know if there any new notification, but with sms i can simply receive update in real time) ;-)

the good thing is, it is highly customizable.. for example, we can subscribe sms update for selected frens only, we can also set when should sms notification being sent and when shouldn't. we can also set the maximum number of sms receive every day.

Hi celcom users.. got a questions to ask. Any CEP 50 user here? Do we only pay flat rm50 if we do not make any calls or our call do not exceed rm50 for that mth? Stil confuse how it really works.
*
if you use more than rm50, then u have to pay the ammount of your usage..

but if you use less than rm50, u still hv to pay rm50 because the comitment is rm50.

epool, thanks for the Facebook SMS comments. It's really easy and convenient for people without a smartphone. No difficult keyword to remember too. Just type F to register. I also just realised that the short code umber 32665 is actually denotes FBOOK at the phone keypad (not QWERTY keypad phones). I've asked all my FB friends to subscribe to this haha =P
*
indeed.. the command only necessary when you are 'creating' or 'requesting' something such as create new wall post, compose new personal message, request personal info or phone number of your friend, etc.. and im sure we not really intended to do so via sms rite?

but we are more interest to response/reply to any update via sms in real time, for example when someone reply to your status update, or post a new wall post to you, or sending you a personal message.. each activity will automatically generate one unique gateway number, and you can reply to that number straight away without any command..

my friend are using this sms fb to chatting with her girlfriend (utilise fb personal msg), only rm1/week you can keep messaging each other unlimited 24 hours per day for the whole week.. good idea!

can anyone tell me around Kota Damasara here got Celcom Services Center or around KL Sentral area,or lowyat..where got Celcom Services Center? and teach me by what transport can reach to the destination.
Thanks.
*
KL Sentral
- Bluecube (no longer in operating lol)

Lowyat
- Bluecube
- Celcom Point

KLCC
- Bluecube (to be opened soon)
- Celcom Centre (outside klcc, have to walk a little bit)

if you want to register new line, pay bill, purchase product, etc u may visit bluecube or celcom point

but for any other matter, such as simcard replacement, plan upgrading, changing ownership, technical problem, IC verification, etc.. u MUST go to Celcom Centre ONLY.

by the way, good news

For NOVEMBER and DECEMBER 2009 only

You will receive double monthly usage bonus as follows:-

Use RM50 - got 6% bonus (usually only 3%)
Use RM150 - got 10% bonus (usually only 5%)
use RM300 - got 16% bonus (usually only 8%)

Open to all xpax, uox, and sox user only.

Note: i usually get around rm3 to rm4 per month for my monthly bonus. seem likely for this next two month i'll get maybe around rm6 to rm8 per month free credit.. well, its a small amount but still its FREE lol.

thanks.

i face the problem about 1 hour (9pm to 10pm), the signal sometime losses, sometime 'no access to network' or limited connectivity, sometime the line look like okay, but can't make call (network busy), can't send sms (sending failed)

luckily 3g data service (internet) still work fine..

but it back to normal at around 10.30pm.

owh, what happen to celcom lately :-( if this problem continue to occured, celcom is no longer the best operator. i choose celcom because of their coverage and network quality, but now? :-(

this is celcom mistake, they are actually not ready to handle high traffic.

in just single quarter they gained more than half milion new subscribers, within first half 2009 they already adding more than 1 milion subscribers, and their market share continue to increase each quarter, so they should prepare for it.. but why the don't?

they keep saying our infra ready for it.. really? then why every night msg keep delay, network busy can't make call, etc. at the same time they still allow external company to ride on their network (tunetalk, umobile, xox, etc..).

trust me, if a person switch to celcom and they enjoy horrible service, they will port out back and will not come back to celcom.. i use celcom since my school days (2003), the service was great until major down recently..

please, do something.. don't expect user can always be patient about it.. last night i can't make call for more than one hour :-( and sms also delay..

i agreed on tis... they are just taking their network coverage for granted... knowing that they have the widest coverage around and hence thinks they are always the no.1... hmm...

buck up celcom... upgrade ur system... same system with more ppl using will end up frying the system only... so simple mar... a 500GB hdd can only fit 500GB data mar... if u max it even at 499GB... it oso runs slow d lar... duH~  doh.gif

me if hardisk capacity 500GB.. i'll start thinking to upgrade when the usage reach 400GB.. no need to wait 499GB lorh.

but celcom? if the capacity 500GB.. usage already 501GB still ok lorh.. only over 1GB sweat.gif

type F and send to 32665. then u'll receive conformation code, enter the code at your facebook account setting page.

minimum spec? lol.. its a sms based system, so as long as ur phone can send/receive sms then its already meet the requirement.

just make sure you reload (min rm3) to your number for every 3 month.. that is the cheapest and easiest way to keep ur number active..

why spending rm30 or rm50 for nothing? don't waste ur money lah.

note: after reload rm3, then transfer back rm2 to other number (if u don't use the credit)

Axiata expect to spend rm4 to rm4.5bil this year mainly for upgrading network facilities and coverage. So for those experiencing network problem (such as network busy, msg delay, slow speed, etc) please be patient, if you can't wait u are free to port out to other telcos :-)

By the way, this is the latest quarterly financial/performance report.
user posted image

As you can see, Celcom MOUs (average minutes of use per subscriber) is much more higher compare to other. This mean Celcom network need to handle higher traffic. Plus, all the MVNOs also sharing the same network.

At the same time Celcom still leading in Broadband segment, with total subscribers (as today) exceeding 600k. That also sharing the same network resource. I kinda upset with Celcom performance recently, Celcom service is among the best few years ago, but now not anymore due to increase no of subscribers and traffic sad.gif
