Hey, could you trigger the 540EZ directly from the LX-3 (i.e. 540EZ on the hotshoe)? I tried but it didn't work.

Bro, can you take a picture of the above setup. Kinda curious how it works

Btw, the other day I got a nice, glorious thumbprint on my LX3 lense. Was taking a close pic of my nephew and just nice he stick out his finger and touch the lense. Ouch!!

SO i kinda wiped it with a clean, smooth material hankerchief. didn't apply pressure, just lightly cleaned it. Still got abit stain, what is recommended to remove it? a static cloth kinda thing? like those for glasses one...

use lens pen/microfiber wiper ...the one used for glasses won't clean it properly.

i heard tat the tube adapter will cause vignetting (both 46/52mm) at the lower zoom levels...unless ukeeps the picture size under 7M...true? wat about those using the stick on filter?

did u use the lens cleaning kit?
normally there are few stuff incide the kit..

blower, a little piece of microfiber cloth, cotton swabs, lens cleaning paper and a bottle of chemical water to clean the lense..

follow the instruction from the kit, i think it helps..(but normally i dun apply the chemical stuff on the lens, it might harmful to lens i heard)

RM 35 per set at lowyat..hehehe..

Bro..i think vignet is the main issue if we put in the lens adaptor/filter..
no matter what size it is...

my freind also told me the same thing....he say...unelss i buy an expensive filter..it might decrease the issue but it will not stop it from happening.

I am yet to get the adaptor kit ..will post up some photo once i got it..

testing my lx-3 today...it's a fun camera for casual situation...but i don't think it's the kind of camera to take "gambar lawa"...i have my olympus e500 for that...because the noise is high (but better than any other prosumer compact), i don't like the color and AWB (that's why i plan to just shoot black & white only with this cam)...but i like the dynamic range, responsiveness, the features and the compactness...

can't wait to shoot pictures during thaipusam at batu caves with this camera...

will post more pics at my flickr www.flickr.com/photos/azmkun

I have problem updating to V1.2 also.
Already using V1.1 but the process didn't fully complete.
The cam shut down when updating when it should've restarted.
The firmware reads V1.1 on the cam, but not sure if it fully updated.

Anyway, when I tried to update to V1.2, the cam just doesn't recognize the *.bin file for V1.2.
Dammit.....
Is there anyway to go back to V1.0?

i bought my LX3 original battery cost RM140! And that is the cheapest price i got after i research from Sg Wang, Lowyat and BTS.
No warranty some more on the original battery! But if u r buying compatible battery there is warranty 3 months..wat a joke..

there is some quality compatible battery..visit here:
