The lens filter fits nicely on the lens. You wouldn't know it is there.

I bought it at Camworld (Sg Wang). Look for Alan 012-5771505

Other shops sell accessories (full screen protector / lens filter  / extra battery) very expensive. But at Camworld I got it soooooo much cheaper. No cut throat

Of course no. If I stick it myself and rosak no guarantee. The sales person assured me guarantee no problem if he sticks.

He sticked it so fast that I didn't know it was done. Took him few seconds to do it.

I'm using the above lens protector for my LX3. I have snap quite a bit. I dont think it has caused any difference to my eyes. The advantage... I can wipe the lens easily when snapping at oily places (food / restaurant). Price: RM40

PS: Photo not taken with LX3

I got the same one as well.

RM40 only?
WHERE YOU GOT IT SO CHEAP?
A friend of mine paid RM180
And another acquintance was quoted RM120
for the same thing...  doh.gif

I top up rm 70 when buying together with it. sweat.gif

I didn't have to clean anything coz there's no way I would stick anything on my lovely Leica lens.

One interesting thing. I notice that the lens states DC Vario-Summicron, f/2 – f/2.8 5.1–12.8mm ASPH. Asph. means aspherical lens. From what I understand, only the pro level lenses would use glass aspherical elements.

Reason is cost. Very expensive to polish and grind the glass blocks to the aspherical shape. So only the high dollar pro lenses will get the glass aspherical treatment. The cheaper asph lenses will use ... errr ... plastic!! shocking.gif If this is so, then you already have plastic in your lens. So slapping another piece of plastic in front isn't such a big deal anymore. biggrin.gif

Anybody have further info to refute or confirm my observation? hmm.gif

so the LX3 front element is flat, not a spherical shape like normal lens?
If that is spherical, no way u can stick well with a sheet of plastic..

The photo above shows tat the sticker actually din stick on the lens.. If tat piece of thing hard enough? that when you wipe the
plastic" it won touch the lens front elements?

Expensive lesson for me. doh.gif

What about the quality of the UV filter that fitted on top adapter (no plan to buy adapter which defeat the purpose of convenience) ?

i do not recommend getting any accesories for PnS... as you'll quickly outgrow your camera and then upgrade to DSLRs sooner or later.
