Can anyone recommend a screen protector for the iPhone 3G? Or where/who to get from? (But not Invisible Shield cos i dont like the strange blur look on the screen). Thanks.

something similar to SGP case? looking for something to replace my current iClear. any idea is Incase Slider available at Machines? since Maxis has launched iPhone3G there should be more demand for iPhone3G cases.

just an update, bought Brasso Metal Polisher for 8 bucks just now & polished my chrome bezel hairline scratches caused by my ol' Rebel, now the scratches are gone! (well, almost. cleared off 95% of it.  tongue.gif )

How you polish it with Brasso? Tissue? Microfibre? or something else? The Capsule Rebel made my lower part chrome scuffed up..

it's available at any hardware shop i think.

method? just use a soft, dry cloth (i used microfiber) and keep polishing/scrubbing the affected areas. (not too long, 5 minutes should be enough, depends on how serious the scratches are)

overall, i can say i'm quite impressed with the result, though the scratches are not 100% off, they are much much less visible. smile.gif

invisibleSHIELD is only available via online order i think, but you can get it from sellers from our Garage Sales section. just search for 'Zagg' in the search column.

Air Jacket is available at any Machines stores.

hi guys, do you think those skinning with total transparent is good ?
pass by mines and ask one of the shop, it cost rm 60 for whole body skinning

but i would prefer a mirror effect at the front, any comment ?

For normal mobile phones, it is alright to skin the entire unit. But for touch screen phones, generally speaking they will just 'skin' the back and for the screen, a screen protector is applied and in your case you can opt for the mirror effect one.

i used to consider that option before (asked at The Mines too) but the material for used skinning looked kinda low quality & non-glossy, not to my liking. better fork out extra to get invisibleSHIELD (around RM70-80) or BodyGuardz (RM90-100), both comes with lifetime warranty.

mirror effect as in? just get a mirror SP. smile.gif

It won't affect any part of the phone but of course you can't compare this with the likes of IS, BG or SGP Shield.

Perhaps you can give it a try. It is cheaper at the Digital Mall, Section 14. To 'skin' the back cost just RM20. But keep an eye on the girl who does it there as she can be erratic in her workmanship. Tell her exactly what you want her to do.

3G iPhone Casing: Capdase ConXept Case for iPhone 3G (White)

Price: RM68 @ Machines

Package includes: ConXept Case, 1 x Hard Screen Protector (Anti Scratch, Unbreakable), Stand, Pouch

Rating: 9.5/10

Pros:
- Cheapest branded hardshell plastic case around (even silicone cases like Switcheasy Colors & Speck PixelSkin cost more)
- Removable bottom cover for docking purpose
- Slim (slimmer than Griffin iClear)
- Glossy finish
- Protects chrome bezel
- Cut out for showing Apple logo (with logo protection film)
- Availability of 'port' on case for lanyard
- Comes with plenty of freebies : Hard SP, Stand, Pouch

Cons:
- No protection for Power/Sleep button, Silent/Mute button & Volume Rocker
- Expose a lil' of the chrome bezel near charging/docking port
- Inside front part of case is bare plastic, only the back part is rubber coated. (Doesn't bother me as phone's back part is protected with Capdase BodiFender)
- Doesn't fit i3G with IS/BG (tried on a friend's)
- Glossy finish surface is more prone to scratches

Comments: I thought my previous iClear was the best case and this is even better (in terms of looks & thickness). Been looking for Incase Slider for sometime but couldn't get it locally. I'm fond of white casings and was thinking of getting the PixelSkin until I bump into this one. It comes in variety of colors (White, Black, Red, Blue) and the staff at Machines Midvalley is kind enough to let me test each of the color on my phone (even get to test PixelSkin). IMO, white looks the best on black i3G.

For that price, you get a case with removable bottom cover for docking (similar branded cases with such feature costs RM100 & above), hard case protects against drops, plenty of useful freebies and looks awesome in glossy white finish (using it with a Golla pouch so it's less prone to scratches, hopefully). smile.gif
