i was found out that some usefull specific N79 care for ver. 11.049

Pls "switch-off" ur phone at least 1 time per day...

I had just try not to swtich off phone for a few days, but then will easily get some probs like hang whn unlock keypad & hang during loading web pages.

Hopefully tis will be helpfull tip for all ^^

why is this yah? why muz we switch off?

if u switch off it can clear all the cache stored on the phone memory. when the cache become larger and larger then the probability to hang ur phone will definitely increase.

not only to clear cache, but also need to leave plenty of phone memory to prevent of phone hang.

How bout getting a good headset to maximize the use of yr phone? Im looking for a bluetooth headset too. Will be goin to pc fair

I'm not switching off my n79 since last week...
still got no problem...

last week, switched off my phone because I've installed new font..
Since then, I never switched it off...

BTW, ordered white front housing for my n79...
this grey look a bit oldish la pulak...<--nyesal plk...

Plus, can't match with 2 other back cover colour...
orange/red and white...only with this dark brown it will match...

maybe it'll arrive by next week...

Hard format your phone?...

about the USB, try plugging into a different USB port. If still cant try restart PC and Phone.. sometimes detect unknown USB device. After restarting phone/computer then ok already..

My build in memory now left around 50MB.
I dunno how much is consider normal.

Added on April 11, 2009, 11:44 amhmmm... i've tried it already.. anyway i've successfully reinstalled my phone's firmware but removing all the nokia pc suite drivers and registries... but one thing very funny is.. eventhough it's stated successfully reinstalled, but then all my contacts, apps still remained

i feel something is wrong in my phone.. even for the battery level.. sometimes i had to restart to check the battery level status.. coz used played games, listen to music quite long also the battery is showing full bar... once restart, it will drop 2 - 3 bars.. OMG OMG OMG!!!

this phone has more animation? slimmer... firmware newer i think.. ermmm.. keypad larger? and has free 2 back covers for u to change, and it changes the theme as well..

BTW, n82 is a good phone as well.. esp the camera.. if yr a camera lover.. then go for n82... otherwise, take n79 as they're both practically the same phone..

the memory card in n79 can support up to how many GB? in nokia page is stated to support up to 8 GB.. but have heard that 16 gb is oso readable? is this possible? won't it make the phone lag?

can n79 support microSDHC ? any recommended micro SD/SDHC sellers in lowyat.net that i can buy from?

I had tried 8GB into the phone...n it's well function and not lagging.
But i don think that N79 can support till 16GB, as wat i heard is only N82 can up till 16GB.

microSDHC "HC" means >> high capacity...almost all memory card from 4GB onward ald have tis HC appear.

if u want to buy a high speed trasfering microSD,try to look for the "class" ask to d dealer...usually class 6 is better.
u can find a cheaper microSD wif HC in PC fair (today last day) o lowyat plaza...try to ask for a cheaper price.
Now microSDHC 8GB is around RM50-RM70 only...don get ppl scam.

install the original Garmin XT it is $99[in US dollar] which means about RM 300 ...better u beware...they may conned you...

if with 1 year license.. it is about RM 720 for 1 yr.. for more info ... go to www.garmin.com

i think you can disxuss with the seller and choose what you want.. but it depends on the stock too
