The LCD just died actually. It was in my pocket and when I took it out to read/reply an sms, it was all blank, with nothing but the keypad lighted, sound still worked.

Already replaced the LCD at Nokia Care 1 Utama. Cost me RM189.

I dont see any lagging on my phone at all!, unless I have more than one application running, such as GPS, music, and/or games.

Hmm could it be due to your external memory? whats the size you have and its transfer rate?
*
but i have heard quite a few comments that n79 lags..
not sure with the external memory, it's a lady user.. i dont think all these memory card stuff concerns her, which means its oem..

Then bring to the shop and check it out...I would suggest.

I have 5 friends using as mine, and none of ours lags. 4 AP set and 2 from ori.

As for the headset, I dont think its compatible with N79, its more for N97 model. But check it out from the shop itself, I might be wrong smile.gif

FOTA - less time needed to update coz the updater file is around 20-30Mb
Suite - more time needed to update coz the updater file is around 120Mb++

usually after the upd8 process completed i'll softreset the phone (*#7370#)
when u do softreset, mybe some of the pre-installed applications will disappear e.g ovi contacts, facebook, n-gage

for me, as for now, it is worth to buy.

what i like?
- A-gps
- 5Mpx camera
- sound quality quite okay
- wifi, although not use very frequent, but best to have bundled together smile.gif
- last but not least, navi wheel

what i dont like?
- keypad a bit hard to press, since there are no clevage between key 1, 2 and 3, afraid it will crack in the middle
- using A-gps will eat your money a bit tongue.gif
- camera have noise when taking night shot
- dust easy accumulated at the camera slider, i like N95 camera shutter design

cant confirm that though. i think using FOTA is the best since it will save your time. but if you afraid it will not update completely, go for suite lah. never use Ovi contacts before. already disappear after i have done the softreset. yes2, the Facebook addware is like when log in thru web. mybe just like a shortcut

You could use I-GPS is you dont want to pay! rclxms.gif Its a little slow in connecting, but once connected not a problem.

Keys, you need to get used to it, unless one has big fingers. Finger nail might be helpful! nod.gif

As for the camera, the burst mode and sports do take pretty good pictures. Its only at low lights especially night shots (indoor) are not that good.
