QUOTE(kennyboy @ Jan 31 2009, 12:32 AM) did i miss something actually? QUOTE In GMXT, find out your card ID in the “Settings” - “About” screen after you tap the spanner/wrench icon, to create a software unlock file. Quit GMXT. Place this unlock file in the “garmin” directory, and restart GMXT and you will be able to select “Use Attached/Built in GPS” when you tap the spanner/wrench icon and go into the “Settings” - “System” - “Remote GPS” menu. i dont understand the unlock thing thingy. ill try search around. |

QUOTE(squall_kay @ Jan 30 2009, 08:29 PM) this one where can i get ar? btw, where can i get the latest map for malaysia? thanx anyway, regarding scroll, i really my scroll wheel on my old p1i. QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jan 30 2009, 08:32 PM) Do share here the custom keymap file here, or a linky to it? Very interested as not being able to scroll down after searching is driving me nuts... No such issues using the cam button to scroll with Web tho... the link is here : http://mytechnews.info/b/2009/01/updated-c...-mobile-xt.htmlplease use the keymap that is posted on 29th January why i suggest this? because if you use camera as scroll down while you are searching for the address, it'll auto insert some unknown symbol into your address which caused it to be no address found while if u use menu as scroll down (and u dun use camera as scroll up), you could just scroll down till the most bottom, and re-spell the same address, and it'll pop you back up to the first found list. please do note this is only for when scrolling down addresses that you just spell it out if you are scrolling up and down at the main menu, this scenario will not occur happen this is because the camera button is a 2-point pressure button which will register 2 keys (1st pressure point was meant for auto-focus, 2nd pressure point for snap picture). hence why you scroll down or up using camera button, it'll register weird symbols in your address (due to keymap did not map auto-focus function) QUOTE(kennyboy @ Jan 30 2009, 09:16 PM) Yup...i've tried N95 8gb, 6220c, and E71, and not a single one could acquire a fix in a sheltered area before (even with AGPS)...that's why i'm quite surprised with the lock on capability of the 5800. just now i encounter problem that the GarminXT did not initiate the GPS properly....odd. i guess it's just software error, i force GPS to activate via Nokia Maps, then run GarminXT againEven my Garmin 10x standalone gpsr also cannot do it...but of course it doesn't have the AGPS capability. But it's accuracy is better than the 5800....it knows when u are stationary, but the 5800 sometimes give a small speed reading when stationary. QUOTE(vexus @ Jan 30 2009, 09:52 PM) use the link i provided aboveQUOTE(hellwaker @ Jan 30 2009, 09:54 PM) Did u let virtual key run at background? and if u use custome1.keymap the up / down key are camera button / menu button. If u use custome3.keymap then it is volume up / down key on the fone. QUOTE(squall_kay @ Jan 31 2009, 12:11 AM) regarding garmin if you really want to install mapsource, you have to extract it out via winzip / winraremm, i wanna install the map that i dld from malfree. from the guide, need to install the mapsource 1st. but i couldnt get to install the mapsource. why ar? if you have multiple drives, extract it to the last drive double-click main.msi and it'll install the rest QUOTE(squall_kay @ Jan 31 2009, 12:26 AM) ok. i already put the maps. you have to unlock it to fully utilise the AGPS in your phonenow when it ask to turn on the bluetooth, i on it then it pop "no gps device found.try again" you'll have to buy the code from Garmin oh, and malfreemaps is the best because it's updated more frequently compare to malsingmaps which you have to pay if you want to get the latest (and it's still not the most updated) This post has been edited by X10A Freedom: Jan 31 2009, 12:57 AM |

QUOTE(HeReLiSm @ Jan 31 2009, 12:52 AM) my only pointer to you is that if you convert to the mp4 format, please make sure is MPEG-4 and not h.264 bcoz both also carry the extension .mp4 which always misled people into thinking it's compatible |
