Just ensure that the previous owner service the power steering fluid frequently, otherwise it will kaput even after 3 years.. Accord powe steering also suffered the same problem except Accord parts cheaper than Civic

Try check the quicksave price at the autosaver. Maybe can cheaper.

Why don't change your tyre & rim to 17" ? 16" look ugly for FD.

So far there is no online price to compare. Just go to another shop to get a 2nd quote.

I only go for original parts (For engine related), so dunno about outside w.shop. They might be cheap bcos OEM parts but I dunwan to risk anything on the engine, so only from Honda SC.

Well, on ext parts, such as wheel bearing, yeah I did changed one OEM parts on my rear bearing after exopiry of warranty..If SC, ~ RM900 but OEM only RM320... smile.gif ..I always remembered the diff between Ohlong tea and warranty haha

I doubt Quicksave is a money sucking service centre as compared to those workshops out there, as it is an official merchant at 8gcc, and i was well prepared for the standard wear and tear for a 5years old 100k km car.

In my case, the rear LSH abs have been leaking oil since last year, just that i choose not to pay attention to it only.
and both my mountings already cracked kaw kaw and can see oil leaking out dy..going over humps previously was as if i was in a tin kosong..noise here and there.
Disc brake and pad also time to changed dy since left 20% and disc already skimmed twice.
So satu kali let Quicksave do all lor..got discount and can pay installment with cc somemore..hehe

My idea of posting was if there is a platform for all of us FD owners to share their repair and replacement cost here, then we shall be better informed of the normal price for each and every parts.

Save the hassle to survey shop by shop and risk being sweared at by the foremans if u asked and walk away.. tongue.gif

Hi bros, Civic newbie here. New 1.8 arriving next week. And i was thinking of changing the existing CD player to a multimedia one (GPS, BT, DVB-T, DVD, MP3 that has all the popular inputs like rca, minijack, iphone/ipod compatability, etc).

The Civic salesman quoted me RM4k for this model CA3675, he said now is sales. I think it's quite a ripoff or i may be wrong OR maybe that's really the retail price.

Anyone else can recommend where i can go in KL/PJ to get this or another better model fixed on my own with a lower price? Any recommendations?

Thanks bros!

Huh..Why so worry about Civic 2nd hand value...Currently Civic 2nd value is the best in the market wor..Even after 5 yrs, the market value for a Civic FD1 still ~ RM78-RM83K.. well unless you sell to 2nd car dealer-lah...as what i did recently...I got only RM72K for my 5yrs+ Civic FD1..not bad-lah..considering the value maintaining ~ RM80K+ since 3rd-5th yr..
