The highest oc for 9950BE u have to ask ah_khoo
It's normal ah, ur moving from a dual core to a quad core.. Sooo expect more heat ler..

I'm using it n it's quite good ah.. I could oc my 9850BE up to 3.2ghz with it but not prime stable..
The switch meh? Hehehehe, i don't think u gonna use it that much coz when u use it it would only oc the bus speed..
It would not bump ur cpu volt or adjust ur mul.. Soo don't expect too much of getting to 3ghz stable just by switching the switch, i tried n it won't run stably due to insufficent cpu volt..
The besh is u should use the bios for a better ocing..

Anyway ah_khoo, after using the KVR i tried ocing my mobo with just bumping up the bus speed it could run at 250mhz no prob..
Buuuutttt i don't think my cacat KVR cannot run stable at 1ghz, it can boot into windows but not OCCT stable..

Yup i set the HTT at 250, cpu mul at 12x running my haf cut KVR at 500mhz@1000mhz ddr.. I got a screeny of it but it's in my rig at home

I used the same setting like i used on my biostar mobo..

cpu speed = 3000mhz
cpu mul = 12x
cpu volt = 1.37v
htt = 250
htt mul = 8x
nb mul = 8x
ram volt = 2.0v

Still surely cannot beat ur legendary twinmos ah..

Added on February 12, 2009, 11:43 amI don't really think so, coz at 1ghz my windows won't really load as usual it would display a msg that data corruption n there's n option to test my memory.
If just choose ignore n load last known good setting it would load into windows fine.. Able to run superpi 1m but not able to run OCCT ah..
I have to set below 1ghz to get really stable.. Right now at 8xxmhz it's running fine.. my older full size KVR has higher oc potential ah to me..
I'll try to see ah if it can running at 9xxmhz later on ah when i got the chance..

It's still cannot beat ah_khoo's twinmos ah that's for sure..

I believe it's all in the cpu stepping ah..
Like in my case, my cpu n verdict's cpu is the same stepping and when we compared our oc is almost identical eg: cpu volt etc..
But he does have the advantage of the "D" factor..

That's just it, it just change the HTT speed and nothing more.. U can't expect it to run 3.1ghz at stock vcore right?

Yup for enterprise i can see the usage ah, for consumers at home a 6~8 cores rig is a bit overkill kot for now..
But good point though.. Maybe a home with many pc could do away with their many pc and just use a single server with many virtual stations ah..
