QUOTE(esssymanex @ May 22 2009, 12:55 AM) Already 2 month using this ram. I upgrade it togethet with 500GB and got problem on wake up after sleep. I thought ram problem at first place. After do some calibrate change with older 2GB. The same symptom come, so it means the ram not problem. Send to machines to check the problem and their said hard disk problem. After change the hard disk, no problem until now. but still report it as bad ram hehe coz don't know it hard disk problem. So, your ram is no problem at all is just the hdd problem. I think i can buy the ram from owc since they are cheaper than many of the ram around here. Thanks for your reply, it clear up many question for me. One more question, your 500GB hdd cost you how much? SSD or normal hdd? Also buy from OWC or you buy it local?

Just the normal hard disk since 7200rpm really expensive. I brought hard disk at local shop.

Model Name: MacBook Model Identifier: MacBook2,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.16 GHz Memory: 1 GB Bus Speed: 667 MHz
I want to upgrade to 4GB ram but i asked machines and they said it would cost me RM399 x 2 which is ridiculous! Somebody please recommend me good 2x 2GB RAM hardware that fits to my specification and a rough price? (if possible please recommend the reliable brands like Kingston, etc the ones you have been discussing above) Thanks!

Yep it's working like a charm, It's clocked down to 667, but it's working great. Now the only problem is that i've realised that i have the GMA 950 chipset model for my graphics card and it cant play the sims 3, There's nothing i can do about the graphics card can i? Can i in any way change it? = S

QUOTE(Kenny4820 @ Jun 2 2009, 09:18 PM) so what u guys recommend on ram for macbook alu? to get kingston value ram or kta ram? whats the main diff? My recommend is Kingston KTA. The different is Value Ram is not tested on Mac System, some might work and might not. If KTA is already tested working on Mac system.

If KTA is already tested working on Mac system. Using ValueRam and nvr encountered any problems here...However I'm not doing any graphics intensive proggy or any 3D modelling. Will get my hands dirty on xcode for iPhone apps soon, hopefully it won't give me any headache running the compiler later on...
