Wah never heard before. I just read E-book Macworld they advertise tell about OWC specialist in Mac. Then after order and make payment. I was go through Apple discussion site and a lot of complain regarding on upgrading 4GB. I also wondering why got problem because the older ram which is 2GB using same brand and same chip Micron from Singapore got no problem at all but after upgrade 4GB give problem. Not answer until now. Huhu

QUOTE(lloyd1030 @ May 19 2009, 11:57 PM) Where can we buy the memory in malaysia beside apple premium retailer? For those ram price is RM 330 for 2GB then 2 stick, you can calculate it. Never try it coz i get my ram from OWC. 2GB ram price for KTA = 4GB OWC ram.Kingston KTA-MB1066K2/4G, anyone using this module from kingston? |

QUOTE(lloyd1030 @ May 21 2009, 02:19 AM) If not mistaken OWC ram can only get from overseas, right? Yurp it from US. The shipping cost me 26.30USD. No custom tax charge. It send using FEDEX. Can track the item too. What a good service How much we need to pay for the shipping? Is there any custom tax charge to the item? |

QUOTE(lloyd1030 @ May 21 2009, 10:55 PM) How long have you been using the owc ram? Any problem so far after you install the ram? Are you satisfy with the ram? Already 2 month using this ram. I upgrade it togethet with 500GB and got problem on wake up after sleep. I thought ram problem at first place. After do some calibrate change with older 2GB. The same symptom come, so it means the ram not problem. Send to machines to check the problem and their said hard disk problem. After change the hard disk, no problem until now. Sorry for so much question, thinking of upgrading my mb to 4GB and i don't want to buy the wrong memory module that will cause problem to me. |

QUOTE(lloyd1030 @ May 22 2009, 12:25 PM) So, your ram is no problem at all is just the hdd problem. You are welcome. Just the normal hard disk since 7200rpm really expensive. I brought hard disk at local shop. I think i can buy the ram from owc since they are cheaper than many of the ram around here. Thanks for your reply, it clear up many question for me. One more question, your 500GB hdd cost you how much? SSD or normal hdd? Also buy from OWC or you buy it local? |

QUOTE(daidzz @ May 30 2009, 12:24 PM) Yep it's working like a charm, No, the graphic already built in the logic board. So, cannot change it..It's clocked down to 667, but it's working great. Now the only problem is that i've realised that i have the GMA 950 chipset model for my graphics card and it cant play the sims 3, There's nothing i can do about the graphics card can i? Can i in any way change it? = S |
