the reason why dog have stain is because, they cry alot, whining, teeth changing, ear not clean n some other reason. since spring is just a puppy what u can do to clean the stain is just clean it with saline water and cotton. Last time I clean quiet often, about 2-3 times per day few weeks after I got autumn back.. cuz she cried a lot more than a week

Here are autumn's pic after I got her back
1. First time bring her back home with me and u can see her got tear stain
2. This is her after awhile with me and I clean the stain 2 times a day and can see the stain lesser d also this pic taken after I cleaned her eye stain
3. This after I shower her so of cous so clean
4. While this 1 is about 3 weeks she with me d and stain also lesser
5. her 1 month with me and these taken before I went back to my hometown... can hardly see her stain d.
6. lastly.... her current fugly picture taken at last gathering day... stain became so worst because teeth changing period.. one is from the maltese gathering n another is when I bring her to BU park to meet some poodles friend there..

so conclusion... please wait more patiently grace cuz before this I also like you... so gan chiong see my girl got stain aiks... so heart pain see my girl last picture..... on that gathering day I just bring her to groom.. but she cried a lot and tears coming out... sigh..

Tqvm Nophie.... I feel much relax now.... My sis has a Snauzzer and I hv convinced her to feed her dog with BARF after she complained that the dog poo 8 times a day!!

nlcsharon : its better if u go search or ask around bout these 3 dogs u had mentioned then u can decide which one steal ur heart the most xD as its very hard for us to choose as in this case u're finding the right pup to bring into ur family =]

the only diff for both maltese n shihtzu are their temperament or attitude n also shihtzu have marking, tricolor while maltese only white in color

you can try to ask ur friend who own poodle, shihtzu or maltese to let u meet their dog.. then u can know which wan u want hahaha

cuz as for me before this I decided to have either yorkie or silky.. but when i met gizmo the maltese I changed my mind to have maltese

Pls do some research before buying, coz they'll be wit you for the next 15 years..Also,hope u realize tat they all need high maintenance grooming..

Me 2. Initially v were looking 4 toy poodle or yorkie but when v met Mulan v change our mind...especially when Mulan kissed my lil gal....d crash is there.

if u got heart what dog oso can keep, so many dogs out there i just loves Maltese. i got 5 dog in the house until i never come over a MALTESE breed..
omg this breed reall CRASH my heart.. and now i have MULAN(maltese) wit me she are so so playful, Gentle towards kids, loving, trusting and devoted to its master. Highly intelligent. Good at learning tricks. Bold and quick to sound the alarm in case of suspicious noises. It is a classical companion dog; graceful and lovable

Yerrr....ya lar..only ur Mulan is so great.. ..

Bt i personally love maltese more than others eventhou i hav to spend more time,patient and money to groom them..hehe they are just so gentle..

My Spring baby poo 2 times tis morning leh... 1st bout 1.5-hr after her morning meal n 2-hr later another one, proud tat she did both on d wee wee pad on her own, by d time i realised she was done. She last did her b'ness yesterday morning.

Question, y she poo twice huh?? ...i did vacuum & mop d hse during d interval n she was kinda scared 2 d vacuum noise! Wil it b d reason 4 her 2nd poo?? Like d old folk said poo green-shit...d dimension is rather small compare 2 d 1st & her usual poop, n indeed greenish a bit!

It's normal, puppy poop every 2-3hrs... cos they cannot hold their bladder yet, when they getting bigger they'll poop less but big quantity and know how to hold their bladder, just like my pup before this he poop every 2hrs now 3hrs sometimes 5hrs... even tahan to pee, when he's at new environment, just like today...

Went to Fluff just now, bring him to pee doesn't want until i wanna go back, before that asked him to pee still dun want... end up almost reach my home, he cracked at the back seat, lucky is pee not poop...

also normal when Spring get scared of the vacuum, cos of the loud sound she never heard b4, after a while she'll get used to it, maybe might obsessed with the vacuum , my pup so obsessed with the mop...

But i tot feeding barf should cut down d "b'ness" significantly....d amt n frequent of poo should b less n as well as odor.
Nowadays my Spring has settled down n she poo more n more each day, now she poo bout 2-3 times in 24-hr bracket

Would it b my barf or simply tat i over-fed her?? She is 2-mth+ n weigh in @ bout 800g, on average i hv fed her ard 28g-30g per meal twice a day. Pls advise.

p/s. in between meals i sometimes gv her some treats 2 encourage her during d training session. It is very small amt only bout 5g max.

autumn only reach 800 gram when she get her 2nd jab means around 3 month plus and I fed her 20gr per meal twice a day cuz it's 5% from ideal weight. if i scared feed to much u can reduce it to 20-25 gram per meal.. or might be 20gr if u fed a lil bit treats. But if the treats is 2-3 should be okay i guess.

last time mine will poo 3-4 times a day... now sometimes poo 3 times or 2 times

yes feeding barf shud cut down the business, but still Spring still a small pup and the bladder still adjusting to the food... just like my pup when he was 2months old he poops every 2hrs now 3 mths old poop around 3-4times... get what I mean? the bigger they are they know how to hold the bladder... we cannnot expect them overnight poop once... i'd rather want my pup to poop 2-3x so I'll know whether he's healthy or not frm the poop.. u see...

i dun think u overfed, when my pup reached my home... I fed him small portion 4times per day and slowly you'll know which time of the food he less interested in, then I reduce to 3 times per day slightly bigger portion now I fed him twice a day with medium portion and it'll stay till he get less interested with one of the time and it'll become once a day with REAL BIG portion.

Example:
I feed my pup when he reached home first 2 months
1. 9am
2. 12pm
3. 3pm
4. 6pm
give 4x cos let him adjust with the food and let him get comfortable with our surrounding.

slowly reduced to
1. 9am
2. 3pm
3. 6pm
reduced to 3x cos he get less interested in the food, and sometimes cannot finish it even i gave him in small portion.

and now reduce to
1. 9am
2 6pm
this with bigger portion.
