We're test subjects for their N97. tongue.gif
I don't mind being a part of it, as long as they'll make an upgrade to this 5800 in the future.
Higher processing power, better software compatibility, better audio. drool.gif

ridzyroo .. u look pro .. can u answer me this ?
I got 1 Question:

What diffren between 'Map' at the main menu and the 'Location' in the application menu.

And what diffren between Garmin Mobile XT ?

What for need so many map in the phone -.-
Thanks .  rclxub.gif
*
map in main menu is the nokia maps software...i used it...for voice navigation, the 7 days trial has to be activated...i activated mine...i will have to pay in order to use the voice navigation after 7 days

as for the location, it can track distances, trips and all that using the gps on the device but there is no viewable map...

as for garmin, i don't use it...its for s60v3 so a few steps has to be implemented in order to use it with the touch screen...that of course is 100% free but needs effort to install it...

the 0.03 cents is for the assisted GPS...it uses ur data connection GPRS/3G to connect to the internet to find where the satellite is for a faster lock...

to turn it off, go to location > positioning > positioning methods > untick all except integrated gps...

to activate the 7 days, u have to go to maps > options > extras > my licenses

make sure there is no roof blocking...the gps is not strong enough to tembus everything in its path due to battery constraints...and

to enable the red dot, go to maps > options > tools > turn positioning on

no need to delete access point..
jz set the system to ask you for online everytime to turn on the gps..
and everytime it ask..jz deny it..
u will be able to use navigation but of cz..u cannot search where u are..
cz it needed you to online so that the system can update your position..and the information of your current place..

true 5800 has flaws but IMHO too many flaws.. i find too many bugs in the lkatest firmware..still doesnt feel like a final product..

anyways still cant beat the nseries nokia team..

its ok nokia..we understand..the 5800 is just a test product before n97 comes out..hahah blush.gif

no wonder theyre selling it so cheap.
