As usual them devils will get a result hook or crook..... we taught we could do it consistently, but nope we're drawing matches instead of grinding out more 1 nils.

Basically the title is out of our hands once again. It is down to United to lose it as things stands now if they win their game hand which probably they will, they will surge to the top of the table. The warning signs has be there as our inability to win matches against lower oppositions cost us. As last season we draw far too often and this bad habits have re-emerge back to the team. Now it has come back to bite us back in the @$$.
There is nothing much we can do about United but there is one thing we as fans can do is to get behind the team. Although it seems difficult as we're set to lose top spots after sitting comfortable for most part of the season. We have to show why we're the best fans in the world by supporting them through thick and thin. Back to the Merseyside derby this weekend which is going to be huge clash as there is plenty of things at stake besides bragging rights. Everton would love to put a dent on our title hope by trying to secure at least a point. David Moyes knows how to setup his team well in this clash as in previous years they have gain a point here. Let's hope the team can bear the pressure to win this game as I believe would be huge as United would most likely will be top of the table by time we play. In past we have shown we got the character to win important games and definitely the gaffer would see this game as a big one as well. Main thing in the derby would be heart and determination as it is crucial to come out top in this clash. |

Have faith my friend. No matter how dim the light of triumph might be, there is no reason why we should stop believing. At this point of the league, the fans play the most important role to keep the players going with their chant, cheer and YNWA song.

I guess we'll have to admit that Manu is going to be on top even for only a day this weekend. Bolton should be easy for them, looking at their records and performance at the moment.
Wigan should have be more careful. Rooney 1st minute goal cost them a lot. After the goal, they CAN defend through the whole 89' game, means they shouldn't let the goal through. Ok. Enough on worrying other teams. We should focus on our own team and just hope and pray for the best. Everton is not easy. Even we have a good track record against them in recent years and this season they've not been performing well, I guess we need to be more careful as they may play for draw, rather to win. Evertons' fans want the bragging right but their manager want the best result which is not losing to us. Rafa maybe cannot come to the stadium to watch the game and manage the team in front of tv set in his home. What I hope from him in this match will be a good team selection. We should focus more on offensive especially in midfield area. Pairing up Torres and Keane should do the job well up in front. But I don't think them both will start together because of the next fixture also against Everton. Btw, is Alonso ok for next match? No news on him? |

I also hope tat alonso will be features in the everton match.....its been quite a surprise tat alonso regain his form and become such a crucial part in our midfield team tis season.....without him there r no others who can hit a 30-40 yards good passes to our front man.....his passing skill is the thing tat we r missing during last match against stoke......

QUOTE(Lady G @ Jan 14 2009, 11:35 PM) haihss.......really miss watching the game with you guys....this place sad eh! Where exactly is "this place"? Or are you speaking figuratively? If we beat them, we'll be 2 points ahead, assuming they win their game in hand. I don't fancy our chances over there but we have been playing well against them in recent years and I'm guessing it will be about us taking our chances. |

and dont forget february is crunch time.
manu will be playing their other game in hand then, which would mean 6 games inclusive of CL in that very short month... and then theres the FA cup 5th round... and not forgetting the pointless spain vs england friendly also scheduled... means a possible total of 8 matches in that very short month which is sure to stretch them. this would be a good time for us to get knocked out of the FA cup so can concentrate next month This post has been edited by Everdying: Jan 15 2009, 11:36 AM |

Looks like we're set to lose Dagger. He's unhappy that he isn't featuring more regularly and that his demands for a $60,000 a week pay packet has so far been stonewalled. His agent has already entered negotiations with AC Milan.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...o.html?ITO=1490 I'm really disappointed to lose a player of his ability. I think he brings so much to the team. It's not everyday you come across a ball playing central defender with an eye for spectacular goals. His most crucial goal to date has to the Champions League one against Chelsea that brought us back into the game. Not sure how accurate press reports are but he seems to have a bit of an ego and if that's the case, best to sever ties now when we can still profit from it. Still, one of the better defenders to come along in some time now. Still remember how he kept Drogba at bay for an entire game. Added on January 15, 2009, 11:51 amDavid Gill has now responded to Rafa's comments. QUOTE “His comments on my position are totally inaccurate,” said Gill, in Macau at the launch of United’s tour of Asia, which takes place later this year. “The reality of it is that on the FA board sit three representatives of the Premier League in Premier League chairman Dave Richards, Bolton chairman Phil Gartside and myself. “They are elected every year by every club in the Premier League and when we are on the board we are there representing the Premier League and I am not there representing United. http://www.irishexaminer.com/irishexaminer...1948-qqqx=1.asp Well forgive me for doubting the validity of this statement. I think he needs to put up a more convincing argument than that. Take into consideration that Fergie has been accusing the FA of being unfair to Man Utd. Perhaps he is intentionally trying to distance himself for Gill for fear of suspicion. Added on January 15, 2009, 11:54 amAh it seems there is a Man Utd connection after all http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...d.html?ITO=1490 This post has been edited by Duke Red: Jan 15 2009, 11:54 AM |
