i hope keane stays patient and hold on till end of the season, coz if (i hope) rafa leaves, i am confident the next man they appoint will be seasonable enough to at least give the torres-keane partnership more time to gel...
rafa's formations has always defied logic when even normal fans like us can see that the 4-5-1 does not always work.. take out torres and put in reira.. i have seen the team play without strikers before and true enough, gerrard is NOT a striker.. once my bro in law was watching a match with me and he asked if liverpool played a new formation which is 4-6-0!! no strikers but SIX midfielders!!! i thank rafa for istanbul and the fa cup, maybe our luck points have ran out and it's time mr benitez to answer for his actions and not ride on pass successes.. if he is still too proud for that, then just leave.. we supporters bleed while he destroy this beloved club of ours.. Sometimes i wonder why "the enigma" blames everyone but himself and his team for screwing around with easy points by half sleeping and dreaming on the pitch. Hmmmmm what next blame it on the grass - too short? too long?

Sometimes i wonder if we actually have the "balls" to that the bull by its horn and go for it. If we loose, we can take heed in the fact that we tried our best. Its bloody painful to see how we control matches but not kill it off - instead of going for another goal, we're trying to keep the ball but don't do anything with it. End up we gave ball away with stupid challenges and it leads to a goal.
I really can't be arsed about how we do anymore this season, save myself a lot of headache, heartache and hair - from me tearing them out with frustration! If we win something..... fine, whopeeedeeeedoooo! If we don't, well wait another season, hopefully with a new owner and maybe even a new gaffer. |

the saddest thing for a long time fan like me...is that..we keep doing the same damn mistakes over n over again......i've been optimistic enough...n thats why i havent put much hope to the season unless they show the characteristics OF a champion..and worthy of a champion.
if you've supported LFC long enough...u'll know the feeling,...the feeling that in todays match,...we'll draw or lose... im down. yes. |

Oh well, I don't know about you guys but I always had the feeling that it was too good to be true. Nice dream while it lasted. Like you said earlier, Rafa brought a lot of nice memories for us and for that we'll always have a soft spot in our hearts for him. Unfortunately he's not been able to build on the early successes and just when he's come closest to clinching the most important title for all Liverpool fans, he's gone and bottled it. |

How things have changed in the space of short time. A month ago we were still top of the table and 2 weeks later after Rafa have a go at Fergie since then we swapped position in the table and with last night result we ended up 3rd on the table. There aren't too many out there too optimistic of our title aspiration as in the earlier success of the season. Only the minority still believe we can win it as there is still plenty of games to go however with our recent form we're never going to do it. 7 draws out of last 9 games doesn't bode too well as good team will break the bad lean spell. To me the race is practically all over when United replaced us in the helm 2 weeks ago and there is where I expect them to finish come end of the season.
A hallmark of a good team is to produce a response when put in an advert situation. Yes over the course of the season we have shown glimpse of it/ Far too often we have shown potential but only to fail to deliver when it counts. Why any of us should have any high expectation as we have not won the title closed to 19 years now. There is no divine right for us to win although traditionally we have a huge history. Arsenal is a good example as Villa is set to break the strangle hold of the big four this season. Let's look back at the Wigan game. I have not watch the game whether online nor on tv. Based from the substitution and lineup that Rafa made I came out with a conclusion. Rafa have been long enough to know that 1 goal lead is never good enough in the Premiership as we have learn in the hard way. A good example would be the Everton clash last week. We clearly didn't learn from our past mistake as Rafa vowed we would learn from it. Rafa's decision to take off Torres on the 71st minutes indicate that in his mind we have the game won which is a hugely error in my books. You could never write any team in the Premiership as they will fight and scrap. The final straw was the introduction of Keane in place of Gerrard just after we conceded the equaliser. Sorry not disrespect to Keane but he has been down right disappointment throughout the season. Rafa's changes signal his intention he settle for a point and shift his attention to the Chelsea game on Sunday. We don't have the luxury to be dropping points and yet once again Rafa's negative tactics prove to be our downfall. Don't get me started with Lucas as he conceded a penalty from a clumsy challenges on Koumas. The lad hasn't been play well. Alonso absence from the lineup will put to question again. He is clearly our best player this season and his absence from the lineup puzzled me. Yes he did played consecutively 90 minutes in the double header Merseyside derby. Isn't Rafa rotation policy in the early part of the season come to play now. So technically Alonso is fit enough to be playing 3 games in a row as he hasn't picked up any injuries. Sorry to say we need to keep selecting our best 11 players in the lineup as we are going through a lean patch. Persistent is the key here however Rafa couldn't resist to make some changes in the lineup. Unfortunately Rafa have made too much error in my books when it comes to the league. It seems that I'm picking up on Rafa but as a manager you live by with your decision. |

i echoed qspns comments......we really have to start thinkin that, winning matches is not about just strategy n grit, but hard work as well...never admit that we've won the match until the fat lady sings..... we were to complacent on our strategies....bellievin that a 1-0 lead would take us to victory...but the consequences were costly to us....too much of the same damn mistakes..... i watched the final score this mornin.... i saw how lucas tripped koumas from behind...and i think to play ur youngsters during this critical time is....as we all know it...a costly one.
