Send to my car for 1k KM service. So far nothing been change but they did fix my complain:

-Tyre sound. Unable to fix it is from the Good Year tyre.
-At top of the car, we have two line of right hand side and left hand side of plastic. This two is peeling of by itself. They said that it cause by the clip is not fix properly. They have ordered for my car, will wait for their news.
-Car allignment for 2nd time, the car allignment is fixed for free as long as your car does not exceed 3000KM trip.
-Air conditioning not cold enough. They have change the compresor and ensure the gas for air con is full and new. Improve air conditioning.
-Aircond sound. This is unable to fix due to it manufacturing defaulted setting. They tested on new batch of NHC and the first batch of NHC, when both tested, blowing on foot and face the sound is kind of annoying. Hope that Honda Malaysia will get some bug fixing for this problem.
-Engine high FC. They have resetted and tune the FC by computer. I do not know how they did it but, they said its done. I will try out and see whether the FC really improving. Still they said FC will improve after 5k and 10k KM trip services.
-My bumper with some stone hit deep into bumper during delivering the  car to me. They fixed my bumper by redo paint job on the whole bumper (Front). Everything is as good as new.
-Car is bumpy. This can't be fixed but however they tried to reduce the bumpy feel by doing something, so far felt better.

Hope no more problem after this. Cross my finger XD
*
I think my car alignment isn't all that good either. Think it's pulling slightly to the left. Think when I go for the 1k service, I'll ask them to check on that.

What are you getting for your FC previously. I'm barely maintaining 14km / liter in 70% city-traffic jam driving. I don't know whether it's good or not.

Question: How'd you get the front-seat (rear) aircond blowers to work? I'm not one to read manuals, and it's in the glove compartment now..so can't check? Which setting on the dial should it be? Cos I can't feel it blow at all..

2. sysh: RM800 (maybe less a bit for others, since the SA sorta know my dad) discount, free Honda umbrella & Honda t-shirt

it works, but u need to switch the air-cond type to either second/third selection, 4th and 5th selection is blow up to the front windscreen/windscreen+down i think, normally only for front passenger, but City just additional blow out from front-seat for rear passenger
*
Ahh.. ic ic. Alrighty
Tried that the other day, but couldn't really feel the air coming out fron the bottom of the front seat. Looks like maybe I'll max the blower and see how it goes. Hopefully it's not faulty.

Anyway since my car usually sits 2, to me that feature is redundant smile.gif

Pug 308 is C-Segment car while NHC is a B-Segment car. Not a good comparison la..

It is not weird, it's not normal at all. And FC is higher than i expected. Anyone who own a NHC, try this - after u drive through a hump, accelerate abit and maintain at the speed. 1st gear is normal but comes to 2nd gear, the rev will automatically drop. Try it urself.
*
Went through a few speed bumps earlier at night, but i don't have that problem?
Either that or I'm not doing it correctly..correct me if i'm wrong

1. Slow down at speed bump (auto shift to 1st gear)
2. Go over speed bump (still in 1st gear)
3. Accelerate after speed bump (switch to 2nd gear)
4. Maintain speed (stay at 2nd gear??)

I'll try again tomorrow..

Ha ha , yesterday i goto test drive pug 308 very nice.interior very euro style and a bit different with the NHC. i already booked the NHC... haih.

Do u all think that if i cancel the booking for the NHC then i can get back the deposit ?

Pug SA tell me if i interest can discount 2k and confirm can get car in two week time... wat u all think?

can gv some advise ?
*
You should be able to get back your RM2k deposit in full (if you paid cash). If with credit card, maybe got RM20 - 40 bank charges..
RM2k discount on the Pug 308 is really good. They must be desperate for sales. And if you can get the car within 2 weeks, tat's sweet too.
At the end of the day, it's which car you prefer more. if you liked the Pug more, go for it smile.gif It is a good car anyway. But IMHO, I still think the NHC being a Jap car is prolly more suited to the harsh weather condition here than that of the Pug. Though that's left to be seen since the Pug is so new.

Yes, after u accerate after speed bump which is 2nd gear, maintain 2nd gear at the same speed. My car rev will drop automatically.
*
How many RPMs did it drop? I didn't notice it when I drove today. Drove under "S" mode. Hmm..

ok.. test #2, when i drove to work a short while ago.
noticed the small 'drop' in the revs as you've noticed, but it wasn't very noticeable..perhaps 500rpm. maybe it's cos of the low speed, i'm not sure.
but since there isn't a noticeable 'jerk' due to that.. i'll live with that blush.gif

City's CVT tranny is very expensive to replace right if there's a problem with it?
*
If it's under warranty..then that's fine.
But if not, I heard it's pretty expensive. more exp than the common slushbox
However I've not heard many complains about the CVTs on the later models of the 2G. Would have to monitor though

Test drive new honda city vtec. Not much different from the previous vtec though. Only the exterior is nice. Dun quite like the interior.
*
In terms of engine wise, well.. it doesn't feel a whole lot of difference between the vtec and i-vtec (except perhaps the gear shifting now is more noticeable with the 5AT instead of the CVT. But overall, i feel it's a good model upgrade.

haha comparing the Waja CPS and NHC, perhaps we can say the 20k plus is paying for the "H" brand and tax for our "Malaysia Boleh" Gov?
*
Damn right! One of the big reason why we're paying so much for foreign brand's cos of the "protection money" that we've gotta pay to our 'beloved' Govt. If you can have H and T in other foreign countries going at RM60k+, why isn't it possible here?

HI all, I have a few questions:

1. Any promotion for this model such as, rebate etc?
2. Hows the fuel consumption like?
3. Its performance?
Thanks.
*
1. RM800 - RM1000
2. RM0.14 per km
3. It's adequate for 3 or 4 adults. Power delivery is quite smooth.

My take with my E-Spec

how you all calculate the FC?? and how to you assume that is normal or not normal??
*
Depends on your driving style and condition.. it will affect the FC.
It's either you calculate "KM per Litre" or "RM per KM". I feel RM per KM is more accurate for me.
For example,

I fill in RM 75 for a full tank. And it can reach 600 km..
So that just means RM75 / 600 km = 12.5c per km

in terms of "KM per Litre"
It just means.... 600 km / 42 litre = 14.3 km / litre...

I notice the tyre used is different between S & E-spec. E-spec is using GY Excellence whereas S-spec's tyre is GY NCT3. GY Excellence is better than GY NCT3 in terms of comfort, noise level, grip, etc. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
*
I thought S-Spec is using GY GT3?
Since my bro has an S-Spec, sat in it earlier today and didnt feel any difference in terms of noise level as compared to my E-Spec's GY Excellence

i think calculate FC by KM per litre is better. Bcoz, regardless of the fuel price per litre, the FC calculated that way will remain the same.
ppl usually say km per litre or miles per gallon (in UK and US) for FC.
*
True.. but since I never 'drain' out the tank before refilling and I don't trust the fuel est. indicator, that's why I used the RM per KM to gauge my expenditure for petrol in a week or month.

Either that, or I'll estimate my KM per Litre to perhaps 38 - 40l (as oppose to the real tank of 42L) for the same reason as above smile.gif
I guess at the end of the day, it's just an estimate.. it fluctuates when you drive all the time
