thanks for the info.. so it is resistive.. just wondering how friendly is it to operate with finger.. coz i find it troublesome to use stylus
*
As I said, the screen is very sensitive and operating it with finger or nails is just as easy. Believe me when I say sensitivity is good, its much better than HTC where some of the touches don't register at all until you had to stab the screen. biggrin.gif to work. The stylus is there only as a precaution. Most of the UI caters for finger operation and the buttons are all well accessible and large enough. You don't need to push it hard into the screen. Also the vibration helps to keep you in touch with the screen presses.

will using finger nail scratch the beautiful screen? hehe

Not when you use a screen protector. Thats a number one rule. Always use screen protector especially on touch enabled phones.

u mean the focal length?
the smaller number means more in wide angle but less in distance, and the other way round for bigger number

I see...this means that 5800 can take better pictures for nearer objects ... But if N73 can take better pictures for further objects...

Unfortunately no screens are scratch resistant unless the surface hardness is through the roof. The pressure sensitive screen used on Nokia 5800 is a soft membrane and as such is not scratch resistant. Even screen protectors aren't scratch resistant but they provide their protection by sacrificing themself which is good. Martin Fields also aren't scratch resistant. They have coatings that will prevent scratches but not avoid it. It will never will since these are soft materials.

The key to scratch resistance is the hardness of material. The harder and denser it is like sapphire and diamonds, the better it will be. Even glass can be scratched and it is impossible to use glass without increasing the price of the product.
