Hi Guys,

A friend of mine is getting married in a couple of month and would like his groomsmen to wear linen long sleeved shirts and linen pants ( its an island wedding ). Would anyone be able to reccomend a good and budget friendly tailor that carries a decent range of linen? preferably black for the shirt and brown for the pants.

On a side note: I have heard and read so much about ALT but i have as yet not been able to find where he is located or his contact number.. Would anyone be kind enough to PM me his number?.. Thank you...

You can check out Uniqlo if you don't want to go down the tailoring road. They have pretty good linen offerings.

Linen... the only time I was qoute linen shirt was at granoff, that's about RM1k per shirt including their material.

As for ALT, it was second hit on google for me. Also, he's no miracle man.. the man's got decent skills but if you do not give good instruction (and the majority dont) then you will be dissapointed.

I had experience some difficulty in finding tailor that possess real skill and good service quality. Therefore, I create this thread hoping to ask the pros here.
What I need is tailor that really good in
1) in making formal jacket and suits AND
2) alteration of all kind of clothing (jeans, shirt,jacket,etc..)
Tailor that only make suits but not altering or vice versa is not part of my consideration. I also hope that recommendation made is based on the fame of such tailor which he is well known for his skillfulness and received actual good feedback from his customers. Service quality is also important. If such tailor is really rude and unfriendly when dealing with customers, I will not give patronage to his shop no matter how good is his skill.
Hope you all can give me some advice, I am finding tailor (in KL area) to have him make some 10 formal suits and alter all my clothing in closet to a perfect fit.
Thank you.

Hi,

I went to Binwani's and Lord's today.

In Binwani, if i remember correctly it was a 130's wool (from Italy) with the brand Rafal and it is Rm1.9k.

In Lord's, if i remember correctly it was a 120's wool (from Italy) but i'm not sure of the brand and i was quoted Rm2.9k.

Both have good service and in depth knowledge.

What do you guys think?

Tradition? Usually tailored shirt will be made that way. Long argument by different camps, but I feel it serves no functional purpose (for bespoke shirts anyway).
