Something has to be done with the cooling before we go for higher voltage. More voltage but terribly hot won't get it anywhere better.

Mine also galaxy tri fan. Have tried undervolt and overvolt via bios. Does not work.
What is your load temp and max oc?

Mine max out at core 670 and shader 1440. Load temp 66c
*
670 on core is quite low in stock..

That's pretty good smile.gif I have 740/1560/1160 during Far Cry2 at 70% fan speed but my load temps are already 71C. Nevertheless I'm still thinking of getting a full WB for this card.

i knew that 55nm version due to cost down problem no longer using volterra chip, but what i knew is cant using software adjust voltage (like using evga GVT etc.) but since the nibitor's voltage tab got option to choose ,i dont think it cant be mod through bios, unless the realtek chip alredy set to fix voltage than change through nibitor is no effect.

if there's 55nm using volterra chip gpu-z will show the vddc slave temps under the sensor tabs.unfortunately there's none of them reported yet

Most of the 55nm version dont have it,from what i know is even the EVGA gtx260 55nm version gtx285 and gtx275 also not support by EVGA GVT . MSI ENGTX260 Lightning and ASUS ENGTX260 Matrix can adjust vcore and memory voltage by software, but no idea what chip this 2 card using , but the price sure higher than other 55nm gtx260. That's why palit , galaxy gtx260 can sell at a very low price

Added on May 8, 2009, 8:46 pmo yah, another cost down thing is the layer of pcb from 65nm 14 layer to 8 layer. but i saw at pcpop , they interview with igame manager and he said that 14 layer design is more than enough, 8 layer would be enough for gtx 260. May be this is some excuse of cost down hmm.gif

After that you'll have to worry about the cooling smile.gif You don't want to run happily 800Mhz Core and in the middle of your game, the screen hangs laugh.gif
