I've been using Lab Series Oil Control Solution for about 2 weeks now and so far so good. It really helps control my acne and facial oil. Only drawback is the price. For RM80 i get 100ml only. Previously i was using Clinique Clarifying Lotion #3...it's 200ml for RM78. Much more value than Lab Series but irritates my skin and does not really help in controlling acne.

Currently using Clinique Cleanser for oily/combination skin and Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. Both combined with the Lab Series oil Control Solution as a toner.

Clinique Cleanser - Contains menthol and feels very refreshing after each wash but i've read that menthol is a skin irritant. Price is RM78 for 200ml. Planning to switch to Lab Series Oil Control Face Wash (RM90 for 125ml) once i finish the Clinique Cleanser.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel - One of the best out there for oily skin. Absorbs really fast and doesn't leave the skin shiny...in a way it even helps minimize shine. RM87 (50ml), RM150 (125ml).

BTW, nothing wrong with using women's facial care products as I feel most of the men's stuff is just the same women's formula with more masculine packaging. Some of the men's facial products are even more expensive. For instance Clinique Skin Supplies For Men facial wash is RM78 for 150ml meanwhile the same women's facial wash is RM78 for 200ml. Same price but less content for the men. A Clinique consultant told me that the men's line is basically the same product as the women's line but repackaged so that men won't feel shy to buy.

I've used both Clinique women and men lines before and i can honestly tell u guys that it's the same thing. So if u guys plan to buy Clinique Men's products, try to compare prices with the women's line to see which one has more value for money. Don't let marketing, packaging and the Clinique Sales Assistant next to u influence your decision.

Nope it's not special for girls. I've been using Clinique Women's facial products for about 8 months now and i don't think i've lost any of my masculinity tongue.gif It's all just marketing IMO.

Nothing stopping you from using generic malaysian made stuff. Most important is the ingredients they use and whether or not those ingredients are good/not good for your skin.

Smoother yes but the Clinique Clarifying Lotion (toner) caused me to break out. For the 1st 2-3 months it was good after that the toner irritated my skin too much. But that time had about 100ml left so didn't want to waste it so continued using until 2 weeks ago i couldn't tahan anymore so went out and got Lab Series Oil Control Solution instead. Atm, my skin much better but need to wait 2-3 months to actually know whether Lab Series good or not.

As mentioned by Muhas86, William Martins is an option. Other places are Clinique and other cosmetic brand counters in department stores. Sometimes their opinion on your skin type differs from counter to counter. You can do it online too at the Clinique website.

Added on September 19, 2009, 5:56 pmBtw, i called Willaim Martins the other day and i was told that there's a special 10% discount for members on all Lab Series products. Membership fee is RM12 for 2 years. Not sure whether there's any discount for other brands. Normally a member will get 5% discount on all products. Their prices are the same with the department stores.

Actually you can do it in a lot of place. I personally have my skin check at aster spring at sunway. They help me check, suggest the product for me, and call up to check the result after you using their product which i quite surprise. Even just minor facial , they call up after a week to follow up bout their client.

Well , the result, is not as i expected. A little expensive, rm188 for their facial and their product cost me around rm600+ for 3 months. They using dermalogica product and i feel my face always the same. Not extra radiant or shinning. But the good thing is, my pimple and acne stop 3 months ago. They never come back so far.

I was wondering whether Shiseido Men facial products will be suitable for oily acne prone skin? I was out just now and was checking through the Shiseido Men product prices...RM90 for 125g facial cleanser, RM140 for 150ml toning lotion, etc. Shiseido seems a bit pricier compared to other brands. Also, is Shiseido any good ?

you could try using a product that contains salicylic acid to exfoliate the pores and loosen the whiteheads. Benzoyl peroxide based products like Oxy for example has been proven to be one of the most effective over the counter medication against mild acne. However, we all here are not dermatologists so please consult one before trying anything new.

idk, out of all the pimple treatment products ive used, i cant say with assurance that they indeed work for me, i've never really consulted a dermatologist before, the only ones ive seen are those personnel in guardian who recommends some sort of product but idk, im made to believe these pimple treatment products are all crap..
