Any recommendation for closed headphones ?? for gaming and listen music use ... budget below 1k ... and where can buy it in KL ...

You can try auditioning some audio technica hp's, I believe they have some good closed hp's that are used for gaming and music (e.g. A500), and you can get them from forumers Akabane or walabies...drop them a PM for more info smile.gif

currently wit my phone n laptop, hoping to get a decent mp3 player soon..
sorry if my post if confusing but i can'T (missing earlier) get used to iem..  tongue.gif

maybe you can test out the yuin pk2 for earphones, since you can't get used to iem...and if you're aiming for headphones, I recommend you test out some Grado's or Alessandro's, they are easily driven by a mp3 player and they'll sound perfectly fine if your player is a good source smile.gif

Err...i am considering of getter a new can and prefer techno/bass, type songs.

AKG K 181 DJ
Sen HD 600
Denon AH-D2000s
Grado SR225/325

What is the best among these choices(i am indecisive) or perhaps there are other better recommendation?

I see, if you're going to use it with Mp3 player, I think you should get an IEM instead bcoz normally a headphone will need proper amping in order to max out its performance, and that'll make it kinda bulky to bring around and you'll hv to invest quite a lot of money to get the best SQ out of it xD

i'll try out the bijou for few days more la, then decide if i could live wit it..

cuz i'm not sure if i'll be okay headphone as well cuz havent really test a full sized one.. doh.gif

i was thinking of the SJ5 or m30 from audio technica if i were to go for headphones..

any other similiar recommendations?

as for iem, minimum would be bijou i guess.. willing to stretch me budget to rm300 if it's worth the extra bucks..

I think that's all the recommendation you can get. It's probably time for you to choose. lol

You already set your sights on the ATH cans. Go for it i'd say. =D

No, i don't think it'll present any problems if you're only resting your head and not going into a deep sleep.

For IEM I got 2 for recommendation,

1) Sennheiser IE8~ Rm1300-1600
2) Klipsch Image X10~ Rm800-1000.

I personally recommend the IE8 coz they're very nice, pretty balance in everything I would say, and so far the best IEM I've heard xD

One thing is, it's 4 his dad. 4 sure he's gonna use it at home only. It's better 4 him 2 get a headphone instead.

i know this is an headphone thread but i think your dad might prefer a speaker system rather than headphone because a middle aged man might not be able to get used to headphone or IEM

Maybe you should opt for some bookshelf speaker or a HiFi System, this might costs more compared to IEM or Headphones

Hope this help.

@those who replied

well, looks like headphone dsnt interfere much wit my way of listening to music.. i usually lie down straight facing up while listening to music so i guess headphone would be just as fine like iem?

hope the SJ5 i've been eyeing has enough bass for my liking laa..

or hope that forummers here will bring in the ath m35.. either one is fine?
