as far as i know. bijou doesnt seem to benefit much from amp-ing. but E3 could always help to boost up its bass impact. i would suggest to get bijou 2 for a basshead rather than bijou4+fiio E3, since bijou2 is actually meant for bassy signature. smile.gif

Looking for in ears to replace my IM716, since I can't seem to find replacement filters, plus the pod is annoying me, so yea, probably time to move one =p

Kinda looking for regular buds as well

Any recommendations? Something similar sounding (hopefully better) to the 716. (both buds and in ears)

Thanks

Bijou 2 is said to be more bassy than Bijou3, so is up to you to decide.

Bijou4 doesnt show significant boost with E5, not even with the volume.
if wanna drive Bijou, gonna get other amps.
*
i have to disagree on that.... i use my fiio e5 with LOD and the bass quality have increase. the bass are more fuller and tighter and cleaner....

look for phonak audeo through online. they are claimed to have almost the same signature as ER4p with a lower price. the price is between IM716 and ER4P. smile.gif

Maybe it's because of the LOD?

Is it not that when using a custom cable instead of the stock cable there will be a significant improvement?

Average budget you mention, but usually wireless headphone cost quite a lot.... So far from what I know Sony and Audio Technica are selling such wireless hp.
and if u want just solely their noise-cancelling headphone (wired), those brands do have it too.

Hmmm.. The AD air series is pretty cold sounding btw, just to let him know. tongue.gif It's very bass shy (coming out from me who isn't used to heavy bass btw), however, it generally possess a very airy presentation to it. If you don't mind the bass-shyness you may give it a hit. wink.gif

Hi, what's a good headphone for RM300? Looking for something comfortable to wear (cover whole ear preferably) for long hours with good bass-mid.

Not a pro with stuff like these so please do avoid using jargons cuz I'll just go ?_?

Thanks! ^^;

I'm using a custom Canare cable to connect my E5 and player, and the sound improve (cleaner) a little bit if not much.

Hello Fellow Hi Fidelity Lovers!! I am a Custom Knife Maker From Maine Who Also Rebuilds/Restores Vintage Audio Equipment. Sansui Being My Vintage Brand Of Choice. I Also Have A Small Home Recording Studio With Several Pair Of Varied Cans. My Favorite Two Pairs Being AKG K702's And A much less expensive set that has superb Bass response and not too shabby elsewhere Eartool Equation RP21's, When a friend suggested these to me and raved about them costing less than $100 (One Hundred US Dollars) I was skeptical to say the least. But They have become my Cans of choice Even over the 702's!!! I use them for my portable listening chores (Sony Video Walkman NWZ-S736FBNC) I also have AKG K140 & AKG K240 MK II's. I realize That the AKGs Have A Much More Open "Airy" Fidelity Quality To Them And A Lot Of Audiophiles Here Will Think I Am A Little (Or Maybe A Lot) Crazy But I Am Stating My Personal Taste Here. I Am Also VERY Open To Your Astute Opinions On Your Headphone Choices And Welcome Your Recommendations.    cool.gif

Stereo Listening Set Up:
Accuphase E202 Integrated Amp (Owned since 1977).
Pioneer Elite PDF07 CD Changer.
2 JBL L46's That Have had the 8" Woofers Replaced with Esotec MW 172 - Dynaudio 8" Mid/Woofers.
Just bought a pair of Creative EP830's for In ear Listening  They will be delivered in a couple of days  Ill let you know, Have to be worth the $15 (RM53)
*
I bought a pair of Creative EP830's on the advice of some of the posters here and they are VERY NICE! For $15 (Rm53) They are a Great Find. Mucho Bass and pleasant Mids and Highs .... Thank You for The Solid Advice cool.gif
