ronaldjoe, simi boon dooi (problem)? Now ok dy?

saprozeldo is looking for 4310 too.
*
Haven't sorted that out as yet.

QUOTE(terranova @ Nov 10 2009, 11:52 PM)
My suggestion, albeit a very basic beginner-grade remedy, is to try another HDMI input on the avr (don't forget to assign the input in the setup menu).

also, try from source device direct to TV and see if got video signal.
*
I see hdmi input on avr display. But no output 1080p video output. sweat.gif
Would try the setting (assigning stuff) when I am free then
Thanks bro terra notworthy.gif

Not really, bro. ronaldjoe's towering Klipsch needs a beefier amp to drive it. 4310 not up to the task. That's why he is aiming XPA-5
*
Indeed RF82 is soft of lacking with 4310.
If I can't get my sky dragon rectified at my end here, I would RMA it and get Onkyo.
What do you think taukeh?

RMA it? That serious? Probably it's a bug issue. Anyway, have you tried what terranova suggested?

Never a fan of Onkyo but it is very beefy esp for those looking for more slam. One man's meat is another man's poison.

If you do get Onkyo, go for SR-5007.
*
It's quite irritating and didn't have time to trouble shoot it.
Yup looking at 5007, not sure if it's good or not.

Good la, at least Onkyo wont have video failure  icon_idea.gif  hehehe
On d other hand, since you're planning to get the XPA5, why wanna invest so much on such an expensive AVR ah?
You just need the AVR as a processor only ma  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
I can bi-amp it for the fronts since it got 9.2.

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Nov 12 2009, 11:03 AM)
The newer XXX7 Onkyos seem to have some audio dropout issues. I would wait until a later firmware fixes these issues.

Actually, the newer 2009 AVRs all have issues, the Denons - reported HDMI handshaking issues and firmware causing bricking of sets, the Onkyos reported audio dropouts and one case of HDMI handshaking with V series onwards Panasonic Plasmas, Marantz serious reliability issues.

There seems to be a general consensus that something changed with the 2009 AVRs (most probably related to cost cutting measures) that is causing these problems. I would wait until they resolve these problems and prices actually drop or hold on to ur 2008 AVRs for now.
*
Ain't sure but it's frustrating for me now, which I don't have time to fix it yet. doh.gif

Well, my supplier here is claiming he is selling local stock with local warranty, that's why 3808 charge me Rm 6.5k... I've consult him on AVR 4310, he's saying that would cost me RM8.2k...

is that reasonable?
*
Think it's 7k-ish here on good nego.

Added on November 14, 2009, 7:23 amif you want, i sell my 4310 to you @ 7k tongue.gif

Added on November 14, 2009, 7:46 amUpdate: I was wrong. Actually RF82 sounds quite good with 4310.
I didn't re-run audyssey after I swapped the fronts. I was waiting for the svs pb and didn't bother to re-run audyssey.
I did a hard reset on the 4310 after hdmi video issue. Sound stage is pretty good on stock setting. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(terranova @ Oct 26 2009, 11:33 AM)
Well, i follow the 4310 thread at avs. there has been several updates on the firmware since the 4310 was released. off hand, i think at least 4 or 5. with each one, the firmware seem to have fixed most of the commonly reported bugs, e.g. hdmi handshake issues, patchy networking streaming, etc. problem is that denon never lists what fixes are included in the updates, so this is all guess-work based on forum feedbacks.

as far as i know, none of these firmware updates have added any new features. also, i have also set my 4310 to only prompt me for firmware updates if it includes new feature, and so far none. personally, i'm still running the original firmware ..... for me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. tongue.gif

@ ronaldjoe - u can also try the webui on the iphone/itouch or any browser-enabled devices. see my earlier post.
*
just tried run web ui in BB. to no avail. doh.gif
Not sure what's wrong again. htpc and laptops are fine with webui.

(1) make sure u know the IP address of your avr. preferably, you shld have assigned a fixed ip for your avr via the router.
(2) make sure your mobile device is connected (via wifi) to the same (home) network as your avr.
(3) on the mobile device, open any internet browser and type in the avr's IP address.
(4) you should be able to see the denon's remote device interface per my earlier post.

Hope that helps.

Yes, I have the IP

BB is connected to home wifi
(3) on the mobile device, open any internet browser and type in the avr's IP address.
Typed in IP address, see network error. I am not sure what's has gone wrong. It works well on laptops and PC

Maybe it's some BB internal configuration that's blocking it e.g. closed port. Not sure, i dont use BB. Sorry.
*
Yeah I believe it's BB setting. I ll try routing to external IP, then port back to Denon AVR.
I ll try over weekend then. Thanks bro.

Added on November 18, 2009, 11:18 amI suspect it's 3G and wifi networks that conflict the IP settings.

Better send it for repair.

I think the same. Input/ output assign has been set up correctly.
Once hdmi monitor 2 is connected then receiver just go hay way. No sound, no video sweat.gif
No video out. I rely on webui to do settings.
Anyone wants to get stuff? Let me know.

According to my sifu anfieldude, 4:4:4 is DeepColour. Does your plasma support DeepColour? actually i dunno what the BS i'm tokking about ... so sorry.
Yes 4:4:4 worked with better colour. But not now, no video or picture  tongue.gif

did u try plugging the source device direct to your plasma as suggested earlier? if there's no problem in this scenario, that would rule out your source device and plasma as being the culprits.
Direct to plasma works

next is to try a different HDMI cable? if still got problem, that rules out a faulty hdmi cable.
Have tried swapping hdmi cables. No avail. HDMI is sent to AVR as shown in HDMI info in GUI. Just that no video out. Aint' sure why...

next try hdmi 2 instead. but u already did that, so that's no help.

so not the source device, not the cable, not the plasma, must be the bloody Denon!!
Yes, it's bloody denon. I am sending it back for good and peace of mind.
Video overlay which supposed to be strong point turned to be killing point.  tongue.gif
