QUOTE(anfieldude @ Nov 25 2009, 10:37 PM) Actually, just in case I made a mistake in misleading people, Deep Color and YCbCr 4:4:4 are not the same. Anfield sifu, I have already done hard reset a few times. to no avail. The actual content on BD/DVD is in 4:2:0. Deep Color refers to the color gamut. However, the implementation of Deep Color varies. It depends on your panel. Normal 8 bit panels are have 8 bit color depth for each of the R,G,B channels thus 24bits in total. A Deep Color capable set is capable of receiving either 10bits per channel (30bits) or 12 bits per channel (36bits). No normal content is mastered in this bit depths. However, it can provide a smoother transition of colours. This was said to be one of the main problems with the older Sharp panels that were susceptible to banding. However, the algorithms need to be good to ensure that you do not have any other problems even with panels that are 10 and 12 bits. ronaldjoe, What display do u have? Can you do a complete factory reset of the Denon AVR? Or have you done it? This might be the best way to remove all EDID info stored in the memory of the AVR to see if we can kick start the handshaking again. Anything I missed out? Please guide. thanks Now using peasant sammy b650 plasma Added on November 25, 2009, 10:43 pm QUOTE(htkaki @ Nov 25 2009, 10:39 PM) Another sky dragon This post has been edited by ronaldjoe: Nov 25 2009, 10:43 PM |

QUOTE(htkaki @ Nov 25 2009, 10:53 PM) I actually have another Sky Dragon but it is 2310. Meant for the shop. Now, wonder what to do with the Yamaha 1800. Maybe 'retired' it to living area for HM to watch Astro along with the old speakers sys. Orang kaya Btw I wanted to poison him with av8003 + mm8003 combo. He didn't want it. QUOTE(anfieldude @ Nov 25 2009, 10:57 PM) What do u mean by hard reset? Power off/on? If so, that will not work. Hard reset. You need to do a complete factory reset. Google and check the procedure if u do not have it. Then reconnect all ur inputs and try again. 1) Master power off 2) Hold standard and dsp button 3) Master power on 4) AVR blink 2 times 5) Hard reset done. But hard reset didn't help in my case. |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Nov 25 2009, 11:05 PM) U're right, u did a factory reset. Now monitor 1 have hdmi detection, monitor 2 has no hdmi detection as seeing from webui. Is there an option to turn Deep Colour Off? Does not make sense since I think the Sammy supports Deep Colour...Are both HDMI outs not working? No video out from both hdmi out as yet. QUOTE(htkaki @ Nov 25 2009, 11:06 PM) Orang kaya?! I am the most tiny among sifu-sifu and taukeh taukehThe Marantz pro/pwr combo actually aint very impressive in AQ. When you are there, try to audition it. For the price, I wld rather buy AVR4310 and XPA-5. I wonder your 4310 has to do with the fw that you updated not long ago. Then again, it sld have 'infected' your system right away. May be it's firmware, I updated firmware 3 times |

Get an ati 4 series card. It's good bang for buck. You can output everything except dts ma and true hd via hdmi.
So you don't need analog output and the wiring. I am selling my ati 4 series card soon. |

Since you post in denon, then get back sky dragon.
Get decent one so you can use it for a few years. If you state your budget, then a lot of sifus here can help. Added on December 7, 2009, 12:28 am QUOTE(eugenecctan @ Dec 7 2009, 12:22 AM) Hi Ronald, If you 4650 support native hdmi out, then you wont need to have analog out from sound card.I am using Ati 4650 now, currently I am looking for an av receiver, not Graphic card. Please suggest. analog output from sound card isn't good. This post has been edited by ronaldjoe: Dec 7 2009, 12:28 AM |

QUOTE(zerorulez @ Dec 9 2009, 08:36 PM) for me i ran audyssey but then need to change my front setting to small.. later i did a little fine tuning on the spks n sub levels .. all done by ear though.. no SPL.. n IMO the surround sounds better after that... I guess I am the laziest around. Only run audyssey once when i got the sky dragon.Didn't bother running it again after changing other components. |
