QUOTE(terranova @ Sep 3 2009, 04:39 PM) It's like this. If you have a speaker config that is anything but a 7.1 setup, when bitstreaming a 7.1 DTS-HD MA audio stream to the 4310, the 4310 will decode the core (lossy) DTS codec instead of DTS-HD MA. Even though you see "DTS-HD MA" displayed on the AVR's display panel, it's not really DTS-HD MA. It was answered earlier. A DTS-HD MA mix only has either a 7.1 mix or a 5.1 mix, not both on a blu-ray disc. The core and downmix are extracted from either of these. So the issue here is that if you have a 5.1 (or any other config other than a 7.1) speaker setup, and you run a 7.1 DTS-HD MA stream into the 4310, you're only getting a 5.1 core (lossy) DTS output. Apparently, this "bug" is also affecting older generation Denons as well (e.g. 3808). So a workaround would be to get your BDP to decode the 7.1 DTS-HD MA internally and then stream PCM to the Denon, until Denon fixes this. Edited for clarity. |

Rough guess ...4810 should be 1.5 times of 4310 price
Added on September 21, 2009, 12:04 am QUOTE(htkaki @ Sep 21 2009, 12:00 AM) http://whathifi.com/News/Denon-announces-t...inema-receiver/ For taukeh, sap sap sui 4310 aint have 9 channel power amp section. This hinders the full capability of Audyysey DSX as you need 2 more channels to drive a pair of speakers (front height). If you opt for DSX Height, then you need to forgo your surr back to drive these. But judging at the price tag in UK, it is about 900Pound more. That's exorbitant to peasant like me. Would rather buy power amp. 4810 got 9 channel Added on: what hifi states that 4810 is 11.3 ... I am too out on this This post has been edited by ronaldjoe: Sep 21 2009, 12:06 AM |
