Yea..I use the Nivea as well..

Those brands from supermarket eg.Addidas and Brut etc..Are they good?
*
They are alright i guess. But be prepared, wearing something cheap from the pharmacy will make u smell like every other guy on the street especially high school students. I only wear the pharmacy stuff if i'm goin out to mamak, buying groceries or anywhere else that I wear shorts and t shirt. But nowadays i wear these deodorants less and less as wear my more expensive colognes most of the time.

Personally I think Silver Shadow is a very nice frag to wear in Malaysian weather. Its a nice aquatic with undertones of woods. It is also a little sweet. Compared to many other similar fragrances out there in the market, I find Silver Shadow to be very well made and a level above the rest. Longevity wise Silver Shadow gets quite subtle and smooth after 2 hours and u might think it is gone but trust me it is still there and can last up to 8 hours.

I bought a bottle about 4 months ago and I've only worn it less than 5 times. I like the initial top notes as i like the combo of chocolate, a lil strawberrys and woods. But after an hour i find Diamonds to be rather boring. Its just an ok ok cologne for me, nothing special.

If u r a fan of vanilla then u would like Pi. It's also extremely sweet and strong and more of a winter/autumm fragrance. Might work in hot weather if u apply sparingly. I'm not a fan of vanilla dominant fragrances so never really warmed up to Pi.

Kouros is very complex fragrance with many stages of development.

Live Jazz is good and i'm wearing it right now. But its a simple cologne and perfect for hot weather.

yeah it's complex perfume... i myself is finding it hard to describe it's scent. we'll i guess, each one sense of smell grows overtime. who know's maybe one day i could appreciate it aswell. but not now atleast for me. I'll settle for kenzo power for my next perfume purchase (unless I change my mind and buy live jazz instead laugh.gif )

Added on November 1, 2009, 9:51 amguys, just a matter of curiosity (another dumb question from me), has anyone tried using two or more perfumes at the same time? what are those perfumes and why did u combine it/wear it at the same time? how's the combination like?

I am totally addicted into Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil ( http://www.nstperfume.com/2005/02/22/herme...agrance-review/ ) for the past few months. The scent is really green and light but lasting for office wear.

Got myself a sample of Prada Amber Pour Homme some time ago from PRADA KLCC. The smell is kinda soapy but overall I like it. This shall be on my list for upcoming Christmas 2009 tongue.gif

I get a lot of spice, incense, some woods and florals from Kouros. It is very much a complete opposite of many mens perfume as there is almost no citrus and no sweetness detectable throughput the whole pregression of Kouros. Some fragrances need to be worn a few times in order for us to really appreciate them. Some its just hate at first sniff.

If u looking to buy Kenzo Power, check out MJ for some deals as they have some discounts on their gift sets iirc. I spotted Live Jazz on sale for RM130-RM140 at Robinsons.

Un Jadin Sur Le Nil was rather meh for me. Smells like a watered down Terre D'Hermes and totally not worth the RM250 price tag. Mousson and Méditerranée are much better. The opinion about Nil on NST blog is just an opinion of one person so doesn't really hold much weight in my book. I prefer reading the reviews of many because in that way u can assess for yourself the good and bad of each frag. Most of the blogs get free bottles/samples to review a fragrance. So that's y the positive reviews most of the time.

I've got a bottle of Prada Amber Pour Homme and i agree it's a well made scent. It's is very long lasting too with very good sillage. However, some may find Prada Amber a bit too feminine for their tastes. The house of Prada does make very good frags. The new Prada Infusion d'Homme is even soapier than Prada Amber.

@Johannbeckham, using 2 perfumes at once is called layering. I personally am not in favour of layering as it can be expensive. However many do layer their perfumes in order to get a more unique smell and experience. When layering u don't spray cologne A on top of cologne B as cologne B might be stronger and thus drown out the smell of cologne A. Instead spray the two (or three) colognes side by side and not allow the two liquids to mix. As the smell from both colognes permeates, they will mix automatically and that is where u get your layering. There are other rules to layering I think but as I am not too fond of layering i am not too sure. Do a search and i am sure u will be able to find a few good guides to layering properly. The result of layering is often subjective to say the least.

It's the florals that make Kenzo Power unique. If u like Power i suggest u try Dior Homme as both are male florals and created by the same perfumer. I prefer Dior Homme over Power though.

Dior Homme has more depth compared to Kenzo Power. Although take nothing away from Power as it is still an enjoyable frag to wear and enjoy. Dior Homme also has very good life on skin. The top notes smell strongly of iris but the dry down has a very enjoyable leather+chocolate scent. To some inexperience noses, Dior Homme may smell feminine and muted. But all you have to do is wait for the scent to progress and you will be rewarded. A truly complex scent.
