A waste of money. Element is yet another attempt by Hugo Boss to make some money with such an unimaginative fragrance. If u like aquatics like Element there are better options like Bulgari Aqua, Givenchy Blue Label and Sean John Unforgivable.

No worries if you bought Element. My opinion is not important instead if u like Element wear it with confidence. Element certainly won't offend anyone.

Actually there are many colognes that last long on skin but seeing that u bought Element i'm guessing u prefer fresh aquatic smelling colognes. In general these type of colognes don't last long because they are meant to be worn in summer/hot weather. So if u can get 6 hours longevity count yourself lucky   

fresh aquatics that last on me are Bulgari Aqua, Versace Pour Homme, Chanel Platinum Egoiste and Chanel Allure Homme Sport. Some say that skin chemistry causes longevity to differ from individual to individual but i can assure those colognes above will last at least 6 hours no matter your skin type.

On the other hand, if u really want something that lasts and lasts try YSL Kouros, YSL Opium Pour Homme edt/edp, YSL M7, YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme, Chanel Antaeus, Dior Fahrenheit, JPG Le Male, JPG Fleur du Male, etc. As u can see YSL colognes lasts a very long time 
But these colognes are not the type that will appeal to everyone unlike the fresh aquatics i suggested earlier. So make sure u test them a few times on skin 1st before purchasing.

Generally heavier long lasting colognes are not really suitable for hot humid weather as they tend to get cloying and choking when u start to sweat. But most of us are in air conditioned environments most of the day so I see no problem whatsoever. But u might have to tahan a while when u step out 4 lunch at the nearby mamak LOL.

Bulgari Aqua, Chanel Platinum Egoiste, YSL Kouros and Chanel Allure Homme Sport.

All the colognes i listed are available at any of the counters in department stores around town. They are fairly common and u won't have trouble finding them. May i suggest Parkson@Pavilion for one of the largest range of colognes i know of. almost any brand available in Malaysia can be tested there.

Smells good but not long lasting. Worth the money if u can get it cheap.

I can say that Gucci Envy is a very nice masculine oriental scent. It's one of the must haves of a perfume collector.

will depend on the perfume itself. Some perfumes are priced more than others. It also depends on where its bought from.

Better sample the perfume before buying and compare it with those from the perfume dept stores just to be safe.

its classified as an Oriental. Oriental perfumes are more suited for evening wear since it is too strong. Use it for the special occasions.

If you like you might wanna try Chanel Egoiste or YSL l'homme.

Terre d'Hermes (TdH) IMO is one of the best designer releases so far in the past few years.....

Terre wins hands down. but make sure you sample first to see if you like it before buying it.

If you want platinum egoiste, try egoiste first. Egoiste is my official work perfume now. It has a cinnamon - chocolately vibe to it as a result of the blending of the middle notes and the base notes of sandalwood and vanilla. Egoiste platinum pales in comparison and it smells somewhat metallic.

I would prefer wearing Platinum Egoiste on a hot day and TdH on a cooler day. Platimum is very refreshing compared to TdH. But i find TdH to be more unique smelling. But take nothing away from Platinum as it's a very long lasting fragrance and a high quality one at that. It's just too bad that it shares the same name with Egoiste. Both are very different.

Thanks Joey! May I know why you say that Terre wins againts egoiste? In what sense does it win? Definitely, I'll try it first before deciding.

Both are too different to compare. Its like apples and oranges situation.

Are you referring to Platinum Egoiste or Egoiste ?

TdH - Bitter oranges, woody and a gunpowder like smokiness.

Power - Sweet creamy florals. It's quite feminine though and i feel can be worn by both sexes.

M7 - Sweet medicinal cherry cough syrup with bitterness in the background. Hints of vanilla too.

If I were u M7 would be my choice. Element is light, Envy is average strength and M7 would be that strong evening wear cologne. But test on skin 1st though.

always try before you buy. Our opinions may differ from your tastes and needs, so just try them out on paper, if you like it try on skin. Perfume takes up to 2 hours to fully develop so take your time to sample  them.

Yeah i have M7, Kenzo Power and Tdh. I wear them quite often but M7 lesser then the other 2 because i save M7 for special occasions. Since I bought them i wear them maybe once a month. Im a bit shy in saying this but I have a lot of colognes that's why they get worn only once a month 
Colognes i really like i wear maybe 2-3 times a month but never more than once a week 

perfumes that smell somewhat like the olden day perfumes. gucci envy for men is one.

Dior Homme - 50ml, RM200-RM220. Can't really remember exactly
Kenzo Power - 60ml, RM210-Rm220

I buy 30ml/50ml mostly.

Gucci Envy - 50ml RM190
Bulgari Aqua - 50ml RM215, usually comes in a gift set consisting of shower gel n toiletry bag. Look out for that.

The prices i mentioned in the earlier post are all standard retail prices in places like Parkson and Metro. Both my bottles of Gucci Envy i bought for RM169 too from Just Parfum.

Yeah you should get what u want from KLCC and Pavilion.

Kenzo Power good ain't it...lol. Some find it feminine but I find it very unique and refreshing compared to the usual fruity aquatic fragrance. I bought it on the spot after smelling it.

Kouros will definitely outlast M7. Even the vintage version is no match for Kouros. Well Kouros is King.

Longevity - Kouros. Of the many colognes i own few come close to the power of Kouros. Longevity of Kouros is measured in double figures.

Chick magnet - subjective. would be to much of a generalization but Live Jazz would appeal to a larger group of women from various ages. M7 would come in 2nd. Kouros is just too polarizing. Some women find it sexy some think it stinks.

bang for the buck - Kouros. Because one or 2 sprays will last you maybe 12 hours or more. A 50ml bottle will last u a long time. I am not exaggerating.

btw, There is Jazz and Live Jazz. In this case i am referring to Live Jazz as me and Joey were discussing about it earlier.
