thanks chenoo. the perfume promoters usually use the tester bottle to spray. do they usually use top note? should we be requesting for base note after we tested it?

some seller dont even know that they are selling imitation perfume.
most of them assuming perfume from Singapore is safe n authentic (thats what their supplier said)..while actually they originated from China
ive heard at least 2 or 3 seller got scammed by this
*
thanks wazzap. i still cannot tell the difference and whether i can trust the seller 100% on this is another thing. just like you , you claimed your bottles are from USA . how do i know that it's original stuff from USA?
I mean all these big branded company can even sell rejected bottles to middle men ? i kinda doubt this as i believe they have some sort of quality control . it has to be supported by facts on such gossip.

right now, only way to authenticate the originality is buying from a reputable mall like Parkson,Isetan,Sogo etc.

hope u could shed more lights on your very own experience and how we can detect imitation , if there's a way..?

best way to avoid is.. go retail, it is your safest bet,
if you want it cheaper, wait for warehouse sales from luxasia or lvmh etc..

er hi bro..

i am no perfume expert but you ought to know that gucci by gucci is quite weak in sillage, it is a close to skin kinda scent, means you may smell it lightly on you or someone who is practically hugging you for a period of more than 5 seconds may smell it on you..if someone is at least 1 feet away from you wouldnt know you had gucci on..

anyway i had just tested on channel platinum egoiste in the airport just now,
i sprayed it on my hand, around 7pm, went into lounge to eat, went out to smoke, flight delayed for 1 1/2 hours and by the time i was on the flight, the sillage is still quite good..

if you want bang for the buck perfume in terms of 8hours or more, go for angel men, le male, terre de hermes
hey jonny,
no doubt guerlain le'eau smells totally like terre de hermes, might get one as a substitute lighter version, slightly cheaper than terre..
LOL

how do you liking the zen?

bila mau buat review on absolute eh? curious to know..

hackwire, do homework dulu, test and get to know the smelly notes from retail i.e parkson, sogo , tangs. then compare. if not you may not find out as different ppl will react differently on individual perfume,
i.e you may smell ginger on this perfume, but other ppl differs..
*
Oh ... I see.. No wonder i can smell gucci by gucci every second while platinum egoiste cannot be smelled every second but others could smell it right ?

Tester bottle is the same as any other bottle, it only means that bottle is used for customers to test.

The best way is to ask the SA to spray it on your skin. Then the immediate fragrance you smell are the top notes. After that take a walk around the mall, go for dinner, etc. You will probably smell the base notes when you reach home. All perfumes have base notes, they just take time to show themselves.

ive check my supplier background..and after more than 10 years in the business, no complain about fake perfume from them..except shipping delays..they also have many local store in the US and appear in TV commercial..

how perfume got cheap..some authorised distributor sell them out from their distribution channel....they "decoded" some of them so that the perfume cant be traced back to them..to avoid penalty from their principal..

watch this..read comments from DhulqarTen on page 2...

lol i think my taste much depends on the event im in...

i didnt get the names of the guerlain...i tried soo many i went from counters to counters..but ill go again and check again guerlain

about hermes, not sure if i can find their counter in sogo, but the one i remember in metrojaya only had the terre one...will check hiris if i can chance upon it

when i bought guess marciano, the promoter gave charriol pour homme sample ..written here, it
has cedarwood , tagete and toscanian lemon...its first notes are sweet, and very subtle...im definitely going to check it out soon ..not sure about the price, even not sure if its anywhere else in other stores...

tried givency play? hmm...is it the most fainted perfume in the world...i thought the SA was spraying air onto my skin...i couldnt sniff anyth, ing distinctive though..i did smell off coffee for refresh but i was sensing nothing really...
my next purcchase , hopefully, will be juicy couture ..from what the SA(the one who was in charge of juicy couture and charriol sogo counter) told me, many male SA's love to spray juicy couture on themselves, who take charge of CK , hugo boss counters..funny...

beyonce heat- yeah shes a celebrity so what..i think her perfume smells nice...kinda vanilla and fatty....

Added on February 13, 2011, 4:19 pmi have a friend who used Axe the body spray, the chocolate range..i thought it smelled soo good...i tried out a bit in guardian...indeed its good...but im looking for frags that share the same vein as that, having choc and vanilla bases...

i cannot think of any perfume that can claim being that...

Younger ladies - anything fresh, aquatic n slightly sweet. Get something not so run if the mill n u will impress them even more.

Older ladies - woodier frags with a hint of bitterness.

These r just generalizations I came up with thru experience. Time n time again I've gotten compliments on frags I imagined women will hate. Frags r full of surprises biggrin.gif

man, such smell is not new. Pure Malt, Pure Coffee, Le Male, Bond No 9 New Harlem, Tobacco Vanille etc. this smell is not the regular aquatic, so when kids first smell it on Axe they thought it was nice and new.

maybe need more time to appreciate certain smell. try wearing them for couple times. taste also can change when we grow. or maybe different ppl just have different opinion i guess.

dumbell ones is not carolina herrera. you mean Davidoff Champion? tried it, but i think its nothing special. aquatics are boring. try venture something outside from those aquatics, maybe you will find something you like.
