Hello Jonny,
Thanks for the recommendation on some awsome perfume..

By the way i was testing for Givenchy Pour Homme yesterday
the sillage is average, at least 6 hours, as i tend to walk around the office most of the time and also smoking..

QUOTE(jonny4 @ Sep 2 2010, 10:45 AM)
Thanks for chiming in...I've recommended "uncommon" frags MANY MANY times in this thread. About time the search function is utilized.

D&G Pour Homme and TdH fr your wishlist would be suitable. I personally find Dunhill Edition, Solo Loewe, Versace Dreamer, YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme, YSL Kouros, Escada Pour Homme and Hermes Rocabar to be excellent for smokers.

hello skystrike,
you are saying the polo big pony collection?
i brought 1 and 3, then 2 and 4 as sampler,
sillage is from low to medium low,3 or 4 hours max
1 is on the fresher side, 3 is perfect for night,
the projection is quite low, ppl have to be really close to smell it.

code is much better because Diamonds is overly sweet and cloying.

Yeah man ! I knew there was a frag with a vicks like smell but couldn't recall. Thanks man !

So @space u got ur answer there ^^. Tiger balm frag I still got no idea.
*
in thailand they have tiger balm roll ups in liquid form, sorta like mini roll on deo, definitely smells like tiger balm as it is tiger balm's product itself..i tried it on the tester, but dont know if the sillage is as long as edt.. tongue.gif LOL

jonny,
i've tried on the perfume that you've recommended, but i feel majority of the smell is abit "old" for me, wouldnt be mistaken and called uncle ..
would like to try something unique..not sweet. slightly musky and yet appealing...
the perfume that you've recommended felt musky, took me 3 airport to test it all on a separate occasion of course,
one in changi one in kl and one in bkk..

Hi,
for office guys, i think a perfume with average floz shud be ok for you.
but it depends, if you want a perfume that is last longer, you shud go for EDP.
and dont forget to look at the floz.
because the higher the floz is, the longer the perfume will last.
max floz for girls is 3.4 , but they have 4.2 floz for guys ( you shud be thankful, guys !  biggrin.gif )

errr... hi..
with regards to the floz, what gives the impression of higher the floz is the longer the perfume will last..
i believe the floz means fluid ounce, i.e 2.5floz = 75ml, hence its the volume of the liquid containment in the bottle..
in that case, means we cant go for smaller bottles if we want to have a longer lasting perfume..?????? whistling.gif

perfume talk,

tried the Cartier roadster red ,
the initial smell smells fresher than the intial roadster tends to go more musky...
base smell is light,
from top to bottom is around 2 hours,
the sillage is not that good,

hello perfume people.... i was at taka today, tested dkny the one gentlemen - opening is abit of an attention seeker, slowly it dies down to some nice smell, after 4hours the middle note is slightly subtle.
2nd one, loewe pop... sillage is not that strong, smells nice on the paper but on my skin, it smells abit weird...too bad no partner here to give their point.

Yea around that but nowadays can get duty free prices at places like Just Parfum and Perfume Jewel.

Instead of duty free trying looking around for perfume shops...they usually offer lower prices than duty free and counter.
*
agreed,
sometimes duty free aint that much difference, but if you are looking at dior and all the upperhand brand then slightly cheaper, else its almost the same....moreover around parksons and all, you can hope to get some freebies, in dutyfree unless the sales is in a really really good mood...anyhow in dfs, you may scout for some newly launched perfume, but varies from airport, i.e hk airport dfs may have a launching of a new parfume...or you purchase more than 2 perfume then maybe they can consider...
in sg, they are packing with all the gift sets already.

hello. Have anyone tried Declaration by Cartier before? someone said that it's smells nice and blends well with cigarette smoke; in which it is suitable for smokers.

i've been told that i can only find this perfume at KLCC. im looking forward to buy this perfume. so, any review on this Declaration by Cartier perfume?
*
not sure but will try it...

i saw that cartier has a new one calls cologne, smells like on board MH airlines, very citrusy

I have tried Declaration a few times and to me it smells very spicy with only a hint of citrus in the beginning. The spice combo in Declaration smells somewhat similar to the smell of rendang to me. I think it is because of the prominent use of cumin. Declaration is definitely a love/hate frag and u definitely got to try it a few times on sin before buying.

U can find it at any Cartier counter. There are a few around, Parkson Pavilion, Isetan KLCC, Parkson 1 Utama and Robinsons Gardens are some of the places that have a Cartier counter. U gotta keep an eye out though as Carter is usually tucked away at some corner. The variety of frags might vary fr counter to counter.
*
hmm smells of rendang....must make one hungry in that case...so far jonny, have you found any perfume that blends well with cigarette smoke??

still available overseas...i think Just Parfum still has a few 30ml bottles.
it's just that the importers here don't bring in Edition anymore.

Probably YSL Kouros, YSL Rive Gauche and Versace The Dreamer I guess.
*
in singapore has phased out, lol... maybe will check my hunting ground...

currently using kenzo leau par homme. thought of trying out CK one.. anyone knows why it is priced much lower than other range? and is it a long-lasting type of fragrance?

other candidates:
-chanel allure pour homme sport
-big pony 1 ralph lauren

need some comment about these perfumes  biggrin.gif
*
hmmm dont waste $$ on big pony 1.. sillage and longevity is not that great, a fresh scent perfume.. if you really insist, recommended big pony 3.. or inisist on pony 1, i still have 70% of it left, letting go cheap cheap..
