QUOTE(netmatrix @ May 27 2009, 01:09 AM) Hey i'm no expert in fedoras!!! The closest u can get to owning one is Stenson brand. And that too only 1 shop in whole of KL selling it. I should be able to land one once i get through their catalog. But at RM300 a piece, its really a want rather than a need. So we are stuck with trilbys all year long from pasar malam RM15 ones to Topman winter model for RM109. wish i had a face/head for hats! anyway where are those stensons sold anyway in KL? Added on May 27, 2009, 9:36 amfrom one of my favourite brands http://www.shanghaitang.com/shop/Men/COATS-&-JACKETS.htmlpreview sale this week... hope there's something worth buying this time round. btw guys, remember the really good deal i got on the oscar jacobsen jacket from robinsons. well i really liked the quality of the super 120 on it so i managed to find a matching super 120 cloth exact same colour and weave and tailored a pair of pants for it. so i was at a dinner last week and wore this setup.

QUOTE(FusioneX @ Jul 3 2009, 01:07 AM) Added on July 3, 2009, 1:08 amBy the way, can we get a full body shot? I really like seeing grey suits with brown shoes. full body shot???? eee... dowan... shy *runs away* hahaha... on another note, M&S has some decent shirts for the price. the one in the shot is also an M&S shirt. and ur navy M&S... is it just a navy blazer?

no major issues for me. Most of the events i attend have a larger proportion of well informed guests. Apart from the 'you look great' and 'nice suit', i've also had, 'this is kelvin, impeccably dressed as usual'. Occasionally, i've had people wondering if i was the groom and also once, the groom jokingly commented that i shouldn't look better than him.
The PS elevates things a bit for sure. Once a friend was asking why i was wearing a jacket... I just answered that i wanted to make sure the waiter serves me wine.
Then again there are off days and i just either look plain or like hell...

QUOTE(jind86 @ Jul 11 2009, 02:40 AM) oh cool you got one from granoff as well =) when u got this done? how much? i had this done over the past month actually. to me, it was a pleasant experience dealing with Mansor (thanks for the suggestion with your sharing of info about your bro's suit). i'd rather not discuss prices here (all i can say it cost me a wee bit more than my original budget) but i'm looking forward to it lasting me years of service like my last suit which was made with a woolblend for RM600 and served me well over the past decade This post has been edited by lanatir: Jul 11 2009, 09:49 AM

QUOTE(netmatrix @ Jul 11 2009, 10:03 AM) Whats interesting is, they even try to match the little check box patterns of the inside pockets!! True old school workmanship. I believe if you get pinstripes, they would match it on the sewing area as well. Damn good i might say. netmatrix, u have very sharp eyes! an artisan should be proud to make one for you jin - 4 buttons on sleeve house material. the su misura tag is on the pants. this is the tag in the jacket... btw guys, do watch Public Enemies... lots of nice suits in that movie This post has been edited by lanatir: Jul 11 2009, 04:42 PM
