I think what you meant is too many trailers will give away all the best parts so there won't be anymore surprises.
Its not too hard to predict the story for a movie like Transformers.

I think the trailer already gave away too much. Especially the part where them robots invade the city.
At least the trailer for Transformers 2 did not show Optimus combining with Jetfire (or did it?) so I was kinda like "whoa" when I saw that.

No, the trailer didn't reveal that part but online newspaper showed an image of a buff-ed up Optimus Prime, stating the possible combination with Jetfire.

So many TV spots and featurettes... to me it kinda reveals the plot more and more, marketing purposes for sure. The part where the Decepticons are working with ... was definitely a revelation.

I suppose they revealed it in the trailer to win back fans who had turned their backs on them due to TF2. Oh well, let's see how it goes. I admit that the trailer looks pretty cool but somehow, I'm not excited about it.
