Fast forward to today and what can I say, Bay's totally destroyed the franchise. And the robots all look fugly.

To keep it real - it does really need a reboot.

Not having much hope on the 3rd one.

But if wanna reboot, they need to re-design the robots. If Bayformers's robot design already looked like a freaky alien and nonsense features (oil pee, tears and giant metal di*k balls), wonder how other director's robot design :hmm

I would want them to redesign the transformers. The current design sucks to the point where the collectables sucks so much to the point that they barely stand and the quality is like pasar malam plastic.

In the end, i collect this:

The animated transformers looks close to G1, and they do feel like G1 transformers when you play with them. Animated Blackout is probably one of the best transformer i ever have. It's sturdy and looks great on both modes.

Same goes for the Animated Starscream.

Iridescent MV by Linkin' Park (Soundtrack of Transformers: Dark of the Moon)

Iridescent is probably the best song in Thousand Suns. Probably the best LP Transformer song for me.

Dont know about you but at least this one actually has a lot of robots fighting each other than seeing humans fighting the robots.

Thats probably the only redeeming factor. The story, the acting and so on are still pretty damn terrible. At least more no Shia La Beoff and Megan Fox, those 2 really cant act.

Oh, absence of the parents are also a huge relief.

I disagree with that.

Wheeljack and Ratchet created them and all thanks to Bumblebee's "disobedience", he infomed Wheeljack and Ratchet of the Autobots' failure at the Great Falls. Entailing this event, it was Wheeljack that re-activate the Dinobots back.

I'd would say Hound's holographic images played a major part too and of course with nature's help.

To be honest, every iteration of transformer, they pretty much changed something.

I am fine with changes but this time round, the way they made dinobots is plain insulting in the movie. A bunch of silent retards that just stomp around then just flee into the jungle after the battle. Is this the knight that Michael Bay have in mind?

What happened to that iconic "Me Grimlock" line from Grimlock?

A transformer without lines isnt a transformer at all in the Movie. doh.gif  But then again Dinobots were created without the ability to speak at first, till they were their brains were upgraded to control their Dinosour 'instincts' from harming their own Autobots.

I dont know as different franchise interpret the same character differently but it feels really odd to have a mute Grimlock considering his "Me Grimlock" lines are fairly iconic.

I dont remember much from G1 but I did remember they do talk a bit. Not exactly intelligent bunch. Other franchise like Animated to Cybertron games, they do talk a little bit.

The movie dinobots are pretty ugly too.

I don't think the writer of the Transformers movies really cares about anything related to the animated series.

At this point the Transformers movies is becoming like the Resident Evil movies.
They just throw in random characters from the franchise, writes a shitty script that ties them all together and turn them into a movie.
*
Thats true but one thing you should know is, I think even Animated and Prime cartoon does take some creative liberty that stray from the original cartoons. I dont think Hound, Scoponok or Dirft are random characters but they are fairly niche ones.

It is just that the movies writers gives zero shit about decent writing and that becomes a problem for me.

At least they didn not make it like humans vs space robots, like the third and second movie, I think I am ok with it if they just stick with robots beating each other.
