Nobody ask you to find version 1 of Hamster thread, we ask you to read the first page of this thread. If you have read and you still asking basic questions, maybe you wanna read and understand it again? This thread is for hamster owners to discuss something new and more complicated, or to share info, basic info is all in the first page for newbies to read, so that no repeated questions appear again and again for the whole thread. People like odd_mochi is very good as she have done her research and really spend her time to read all the pages, really salute her thumbup.gif notworthy.gif , btw, I'm not Blur joey nor Blurjoey who post this:x

gooood boy, it is better to do so de. else if they breed out flow control then u pening lo hehe. but if u manage to find a petshop who is willing to trade in all ur offspring then u can somore earn money tat way. but provided ur offspring have to be good blood line.
*
Konbawa,

Why are you encouraging people to breed and sell to petshops for income? Why are we even raring hamsters in the first place here? Is it to make profit from breeding them? No right?

We rare them it is because of the love we have for them. What you are suggesting here is totally wrong for this forum and unethical. Also, breeding is very very bad for female's health and it can shorten their lifespan and it will be very stressful for them.

With what you have written above here, this will mislead newbie hamster owners to think that what you said is the "correct thing" to do and they will not separate their hamster for good cause they don't need to worry about having lots of pups cause they can sell them for money and keep their hamster s together. With this, our effort of giving correct info is in vain.

One more thing - Do you think petshops will care if the hamster offsprings are of good bloodline? Have you even seen the hamsters that are sold in the petshops? They only care about selling them only.

Can't really see clearly. It would be easier if you have a close up pic with macro mode. But I think I saw a flesh color ring but not 100% sure.

mochi can i noe wat is eyering?
*
Eyering is a ring around the eye. If you see sable or mink syrians, you can see there is eyering around their eyes. Looks like they are wearing a mask like Zorro.

does any1 have exmaple hamham pic that have eyering? i kinda curious to see it. (1st time heard tongue.gif)

Here you go:
http://www.petwebsite.com/hamsters/sable_syrian_hamster.htm

Look at the sables. All have cream colored eye ring.

Eye rings only on sables & minks. Other not sure as we don't have a lot of different syrian colors.

does mealworms really help hamster get chubby?

toph and toby, can see they are getting long, but not really growing sideways...sad.gif
*
Mealworms is mainly for the protein content. You want them to grow sideways? Feed more fresh vegetables and smoothie.

If you're gerli about handling mealworms, you can feed your hammies soft white tofu instead.

Hamsters have lifespan of 2-3 years. If you convert 1 hamster year to human years it would be about 30-40+- years old.

Syrian hamster clean themselves. Do not bath them with water! Yes, syrian don't use sand as well. You just have to clean their tank and wheels etc. They will groom themselves.

Zoozone no longer in production. If lucky, you can still find a zoozone in some petshops in KL but who knows?

There is a rumor that there will be a new zoozone coming out soon but don't know when only.

Better you go and explore pet shops than asking here. No one here stay or work in a pet shop 24/7 except JTL and babydugong laugh.gif

If want to know about the zoozone and their accessories then call Hagen Malaysia and ask. They will direct you in the right directions.

@ekroyorke: hmm....u mean u did no even know the ham was pregnant?
too bad, if you know earlier, you could have given more food to the mom...

btw, is wooden wheel as silent as sanko silent wheel?
*
Yes it is. But you know wear and tear happens when you hammy runs alot in it. A little petroleum jelly (lubricates the joints) can fix it like new.

btw, is pet shack just opposite sunway pyramid? i mean like just opposite and can just walk to it?
*
It's in Mentari Park opposite Sunway Pyramid. It's behind the McD. Closer to that steamboat restaurant (can't remember the name). You can walk over from Pyramid using the pedestrian bridge if I remember correctly.

There is a map here:

Aiya! Forgot about that newly implemented law. I wonder would they ban even if just give directions to any pet shop?
