Hi Kookie, if you get into debt and cause you want to take AKPK. Please hold on first, or doesn't matter even you already apply.
Many Malaysian are lack of financial education, which has led to bankruptcy and convictions of poor borrowing. Personal loans and car loans are the main cause of most people for bankruptcy.
Wanna know how to manage your finances and clear your debts? you can PM me biggrin.gif
Good luck
*
You can offer better than AKPK....seriously?
Kindly don't bring people to Holland.

It is not advisable to take another BIGGER Loan to clear others loan...credit card.....because monthly payment will be significantly higher.

AKPK will be a better choice

Morning guys, below is the info from AKPK FB Page.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Does AKPK allow deferment on loans repayment under the Debt Management Programme (DMP) following Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) announcement on 25 March 2020?

Yes, AKPK will also grant an automatic deferment of DMP instalments for a period of six (6) month from April 2020 to September 2020.

2. Do I need to apply for the deferment?

No. All DMP customers will automatically qualify for the deferment.

3. What are the facilities eligible for automatic deferment?

All facilities that are under the DMP (including credit cards) are eligible.

4. What about facilities restructured under the DMP where payments are directly deducted from salary? Do these facilities qualify for the deferment?

Yes, such facilities qualify for automatic deferment. However, you should inform your company to stop the salary deduction.

5. Does the automatic deferment by AKPK apply to facilities from non-financial institutions like Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN), TEKUN Nasional and Credit Cooperatives?

Yes, so long as the facilities are in the DMP.

6. Can I opt out of the automatic deferment package, and if so, how can I do that?

Yes, you can opt out by continuing to make full and timely payment of your DMP instalments. In fact, if your cash flow is not seriously affected by COVID-19 outbreak, we encourage you to continue making payments as deferment will involve additional interest/profit.

7. Will I be charged additional interest on the repayment amount that is deferred by six (6) months during the period?

• For conventional loans, interest will continue to be charged on the outstanding balance during the moratorium period.

• For Islamic financing, profit will continue to accrue on the outstanding principal amount.

This means that only repayment is deferred and not the accruement of interest/profit. Your repayment tenor will be extended by 6 months.

8. I have applied deferment for March 2020 and my application was already approved. Am I eligible for the automatic deferment, and when is my next payment date?

Yes, you are eligible for the automatic deferment and the next payment date will be after the six (6) months’ deferment period i.e. in October 2020.

9. My DMP is currently one (1) month in arrears. Am I eligible for the deferment, and how long will the deferment period be?

Yes, you are eligible for the automatic deferment so long as your DMP is still active prior to April 2020. Your next payment due is October 2020, but your DMP will indicate one (1) month in arrears.

10. Can I apply for a deferment of more than six (6) months?

No. The maximum deferment period for the DMP is six (6) months only.

11. My application has just been approved in March 2020 but I have not made the first payment to activate the DMP. Will I be automatically eligible for the deferment?

Yes but only if you make the first payment and activate the DMP before 31 March 2020. The automatic deferment applies to all active DMP customers.

12. What if I submit DMP application during the deferment period i.e. from April 2020 to September 2020? Will I be automatically granted a deferment as well?

No. Your application will be treated as per normal DMP application, and deferment, if any, will be accorded on a case-by-case basis depending on the merit of the case.

13. I have made advance payments until April 2020. Can I request for a refund?

No. Funds received will be disbursed to your credit provider as and when received (i.e. April 2020)

14. My DMP was terminated on 1 March 2020 and I have promised to settle all arrears on 30 April 2020 to activate the account. Am I eligible for automatic deferment?

No. Automatic deferment is not applicable to terminated DMP.

this is good news! how do you go about doing this? call the bank akpk officer directly to nego?

my case is my Maybank CC even though every month pay, does not seem to go lower at all! check bank statement see that finance charges every month is higher than the amount paid by akpk to maybank...
*
Sure bor?
What is your Maybank loan amount?
What is your monthly repayment amount?

Cannot say suka suka like that.

AKPK set the amount as per your ability to meet the monthly repayment so that you will have a piece of mind without the debtor bank keep calling you or harass you at home and work.

Eversince you on AKPK scheme.....you can live your life normally without those harrassment...right?

Now let us ex-AKPK or soon to be - AKPK trying to help you on the calculation..

So..do tell us your latest Maybank debts and your regular monthly payment for Maybank...

I definitely can help you on this calculation.

if u wish to make settlement you need call maybank directly they can give u gd discount
*
No such thing as good discount lo.
Unless your debt is PL or penalties on CC before Maybank agreed to that amount before under AKPK.

PL usually calculate interest upfront....and maybe that why seem good discount.
While CC interest is calculate 1.5% monthly.....which I think discount might be little....unless they charge late penalty..misc charges which added up to huge amount.

Let say I want to pay directly to the bank for my CC, can I still do so from Cash Deposit Machine? Or can only pay thru AKPK?
*
If you under AKPK program....pay thru AKPK.
Unless
You want to settle one of AKPK debts....better walk in counter and settle on spot...

i am unable to settle all outstanding, but i wish to reduce the current debt with the CC, so asking if can pay direct to bank? By right, the account number should still be valid, and can use to deposit money yes?
*
Usually people will contact with bank to clear debt....but as for reducing debt with that bank....I am not sure

I suppose it will be ok ...make sure you know when you fully settle that bank in future so that you can stop paying that amount on AKPK.

Ive been on AKPK since 2015 almost 5 years already, that time my salary was only 2K now I'm already a manager,

Im thinking about and have asked around whether can withdraw from the program and continue to pay directly to respective banks , but NOT amounting to full/partial settlement, I just want to get out of this program,

As Ive read on this guy's experience on this site https://adzril.com/pengalaman-aku-pergi-serah-diri-ke-akpk/  , he was able to seek loan again after a few month after he withdrew halfway with no settlement.

SO my question is, can I withdraw and pay directly as my commitment in 2015, and can take  up loan again?anyone has other more recent experience?
*
AKPK only offer one time lifeline membership.
So in future if you ever got into difficulties....AKPK will never able to extend their help anymore.

The aim of AKPK is to help to reduce monthly repayment and ensure unwarranted debt collector calling ..etc.

Now that you have become a manager with increased in pay....Why the need to terminate the program and getting loan again....seriously....crazy?

with the pay increase....you should be saving tremendous money and be debt free forever
Debit card will be your best choice.

Credit Card and Personal Loan is an evil temptation which get you in trouble in the 1st place or have you forgotten what happen in the 1st place when you under AKPK?

i know as a Manager...need image....Credit Card...Personal Loan...etc....
Is this what you aiming for?

i think i need to walk in to AKPK for finale consultation.

While i was making final settlement at Alliance Bank....almost 9.1k after discount 1.5k....just bayar saja.

i was told that I am not under AKPK anymore....

Then visit AmBank....Vavi...cannot do settlement on spot.
need to wait for settlement letter within 2 weeks.
Need to wait email from them before paying the final amount.

i believe many companies are taking this opportunity to implement pay-cut.

now they can do that without much consequences.

especially SME chinese owned business, damn bloody.
*
Yup...all bloody SME Chinese Businese owner is happily cutting staff by forcing pay cut...
No Happy...resign....

Stay also die....take paycut and yet to have to cover for ex-colleague job..not 1 but 2 or more..

Whoever can do full 55 year EPF withdrawal can sustain comfortable for now.

i also tender my resignation so that i can get Gratuity from company ASAP
