QUOTE(suiteng @ Dec 17 2008, 09:33 AM) What about soundproofing? Test drive that time can hear noise coming from the fender. Knock knock a bit sounds like no padding yeap,im driving the current city and im totally not happy with the soundproofing. if a motorbike passed by, its clear. its even worse if u reach 100km/h, add up wind noise, tyre noise, and engine sounds. and the susp. is somehow a bit harsh/hard. not really a comfy ride. in my opinion this is the only minus point from the current city. other than this, city is a good city car. ALSO, it is an enjoyable ride. Power is smooth and torquey, thanks to the CVT. i hope HM address this issue in this new city. If HM gonna slap 90k price tag, make sure all these issue addressed properly. heck, even my myvi is not this worse. Your so-called-dugong car is much more quieter and comfy, only minus point is stone age tech, boring interior and obviously ugly. This post has been edited by apisgogo: Dec 17 2008, 09:50 AM |

QUOTE(apisgogo @ Dec 17 2008, 09:03 AM) I hope with this kind a price, the cabin noise is not like previous city. apisgogo,if not, then its another flip-flop. toyo's will still dominate. Honda NVH never been good even with Civic, go test either Latio or Altis you will know what I mean. mokhzaini, Fully agreed with your view about current bad time. But the hype so strong that they really care about your advice??? I was surprise that one of the member quote earnings RM2.5k dare to commit such car, and the other one which is less than RM3k encourage him. My wife got a 1st batch i-DSI, after we tested the Jazz which is the same platform & engine with the new City, the new engine are so rough. I believe replacement should be more refine or improvement than the old model. I got to say its a handsome looking car, but its a overprice entry level car We are going to face the ultimate storm that we never experience before yet the booking new City so tremendous. My best wishes to all of you who daring to commit. FYI my wife i-DSI our loan 3yrs which finished 2yrs ago. |

why not? either the person has lots of $$ for downpayment, has no other commitment or stretch his loan to 9 years for rm800++ permonth.

QUOTE(hush_puppies @ Dec 14 2008, 06:38 PM) seems like major are going for E spec wor....S spec and E spec is different for 5k. and the 5k is pay for : seem like S spec is sufficient enough wor. the major benefit of E spec is juz 6 speakers, steering audio, 16' rim for me. other is juz not neccessary. not much diff. i rather choosing S spec with adding 5k for modulo instead of adding 5k for E spec.1. Fog lamps 2. 16" rims 3. side mirror signal indicator 4. Exhaust pipe finisher 5. paddle shift 6. steering wheel audio control 7. leather steering wheel 8. leather gear knob 9. 6 speakers (S spec has 4 speakers) 10. adjustable rear headrest 11. rear armrest with cup holder 12. rear foldable 60:40 seats 13. rear reclining seats 14. rear seat under tray (what's this?) 15. power retractable door mirror These are the 15 items that cost the 5k. hmm.... should i change to E spec too? I have made the ticking games on these 15 items and i found no 3 (side mirror signal indicator), no 6 (steering wheel audio control) and no 9 (6 speakers) I am more into using. so what about u guys? come and have some tick-tick game |

I believe we shouldnt discuss about other ppl way of financing here.
I am sure those who commit, knows what they are doing and they are the one facing the impact later on. Not us. right? Whether or not how you and me manage our finances are different from individual to individual. Some believe, short term loan is better but the argument is, if you are also having a housing loan..would you throw the spare money you have to your car or house. For me, i would rather throw in my house as house loan is calculated progressively. Car loan, otherwise, once committed no matter how early you settle also you have to pay same amount. Different ppl got different perspective in life. Some might want a stable journey till the end, in another chap he may wants to at least enjoy the moment, touch wood, none of us can be sure how long we can live.. right? At least the chap who take the risk, end of the day he can proudly say "I tried it" and he can go peacefully. |

Paddle shift is something we cant get in aftermarket. End of the day, tepuk dada tanya selera.. Like me, I wanted a 2.0 Civic very much esp paddle shift, auto cruise, HID, but end of the day I just wanna make sure i dun spent too much on petrol..coz its a direct soft cost..if u use the car, you need it.. i do not want end of the day, i got the car but cant bear to drive it due to high petrol price. Takkan put in house showroom only right? Now with 1.8 although i dun have the above, I have the allowance of revving the engine and enjoy most of my iVTEC, coz no matter how my petrol is manageable... guessed slightly out of topic..anyway, just consider 5K and how tight you are with 5K and how much you love the paddle shift.. For me, i know i love the paddle shift so am looking either keep the car for 2 yrs and pass to my fiancee and me get a 9th gen civic with paddle shift OR try brainwash my fiancee to change her Myvi to CIty (with paddle shift of coz!) QUOTE(tossee @ Dec 17 2008, 10:53 AM) I'm not sure about 2K extra....but yesterday i went to maybank..the officer said have to pay 15% for downpayment..now bank only give 85% loan... i thought i can settle comfortably with 91k+, but if its 93k+ then i felt like been ripping off... ya, like many have said about the great impact is coming, even the bank dare not give full loan. |

QUOTE(khairul4993 @ Dec 17 2008, 01:47 AM) I already booked this beauty yesterday At Yong Ming Motor Johor Bahru.Going for E spec,Polished Metal Metallic.Estimated around Feb/March to receive my pride of Honda hehe.. Congratulations, brother. Welcome to the Honda City club. You have made a wise decision by booking the all new City. I have made a comparison between new City and Vios, Altis, Latio and Sylphy. Guess what? New City is wider than these four cars! .Just look at the figures below.New Honda City width 1715 mm Nissan Sylphy width 1695 mm Toyota Altis width 1705 mm Nissan Latio width 1695 mm Toyota Vios width 1700 mm New City's boot (506 litres) is also bigger than Sylphy's boot (504 litres). Looks like not only T is shaking now, even N is also trembling tomorrow when new City is launched! Honda The Power Of Dreams |
