it didnt stated on the card, i assume it will be on normal office hour. definitely going for a test drive hehe.

i remember test drove the current city back then, which has the CVT part of its drivetrain, i cant feel the acceleration until i looked at the odometer its already more than 100kmp. to my surprise of its smoothness i looked at my SA, he was sweating cold sweats lol. i wonder how this new city going to be like.

Added on December 16, 2008, 12:29 amman this is one of the great day at LYN forum to me. get to see the real car photos provided by tossee and preview by Steven2916. many thanks to you guys.

I see.. Alright. I'll swing by the showroom in the afternoon to check it out. Better go before 5:30pm. Maybe can even test drive.
If not, just decide on my Spec then test drive when I'm free smile.gif

Yeah better go before 5.30pm to avoid the "After Work" rush. I am sure that certain Honda dealers will close late on this Thursday.

El,

For S- spec there is only 4 speakers, 2 at the front door and another 2 behind the rear seat

where else for E spec there are 6 speakers, same as above but rear passenger door has another 2.

Tweeter only for E spec.

Added on December 15, 2008, 7:47 pmSteve, if you notice the materials for the seat and door upholstery, they are different between the 2 specs
Although both are Black but E spec materials looks better.

Added on December 15, 2008, 7:51 pmOne more thing, there is an extra D3 at the Gear for S spec only. hmm.gif

there is an extra D3 at the Gear for S spec only
Is the same configuration with current civic and accord. If come with Paddle Shift you gear will be like (P,R,N,D,S)
If no paddle shift will be (P,R,N,D,D3,2,1)

Yes, I already had a sneak preview of the new City yesterday and I will test drive it this Saturday. I will go for the S spec Alabaster Silver Metallic colour. Most likely I will book in February next year and maybe can get the car by May. Hopefully by the end of April car loan interest rate can go down to at least 2.8% or maybe even lower. S spec is good enough for me because the engine power and performance for both specs are the same hence I don't really need the extra features which are only available in the E spec. The price difference between S and E spec may be about RM5,000.

Added on December 16, 2008, 11:39 amNew City is like the smaller version of Civic and it is about RM27,000 cheaper than Civic. Furthermore, it has the Civic side profile and it has many features which are found in the Civic. Therefore, I think RM86,000 for S spec is value for money if we were to compare the price with other Japanese cars like Toyota Vios, Nissan Latio and Suzuki SX4 sedan. For your information, although NIssan Latio and Suzuki SX4 sedans are 1.6, their engine maximum power is lower than that of the new City which has 120 hp. New City is the most powerful 1.5 car. There are no other 1.5 cars which are more powerful than new City. It is also the biggest and most spacious 1.5 sedan. Really class leading. Honda The Power Of Dreams

due to their poor sales of city during the past 5 yrs, i think maybe they're making a big come back this round. btw, what does the 'S' gear stands for for spec E, sporty mode?

if by that time the interest gets even lower, maybe still can consider spec E rite. im getting later than you...

o ya, W.ROOK did mention about the differences about the upholster between the two specs, did he meant the quality of just the looks?

Guys, when you go to view the new City, check out the petrol lid cover which I told you about and play with it. That is something which is not found in many cars. Amazing! There are more features in the S spec s compared to other premium price Japanese cars in the 1.5 class category. I don't have to mention the brands. Enough for me to give you the first letter of the brands - T, N, S. Cheers!

From my observation, I think the quality of the seat upholstery and the door side panel material is the same but the E spec one looks nicer and slightly more classy.
Time for new City to overtake Vios sales. Vios has been the leader in sales for 1.5 Jap sedans for the past 5 years - too long. I think T is getting arrogant. Time for H to remove the arrogance from T. I think Honda has a bestseller this time with the all new City. Agreed? cool.gif

For the past 5 years, some people cannot accept the looks of the outgoing City. That's why they bought Vios hence the big increase in Vios sales. This time around, it is a different story altogether. The new City's shape is nicer and more balanced now and it doesn't have the short front anymore. The new City's front is longer now thus makes the car look more balanced.
