16105 is Sony design. It was supposed to be an updated version of the CZ1680 but Carl Zeiss did not approve the design and forbid Sony from using the T* coating on the lens. Therefore it's sold as a normal lens. This means that this lens is as good as the Carl Zeiss 16-80 but without the Zeiss T* coating.

As for 18250, it's just Tamron design.

What lens you aiming for ? if you seldom shoot dark area then go for lens. if you mostly shoot in dark area then better stanby a flash.

the 1680cz is better than 16105 in terms of contrast (awesome microcontrast from T* coating) and larger aperture. it's also slightly better in terms of corner sharpness. i guess you get what you paid for. i would get the zeiss if i have extra bucks... but for budget conscious people, 16105 is a wiser choice. it has better build quality than the zeiss.

hanafi: Any flash diffuser that can mount of the head of the Canon 580 EX II will fit the Sony F58. Why, because I tried the Lambency that was designed for the 580EX II and it fits nicely on the F58:

That is my hand holding the F58 attached with a Lambency that I detached from a 580EX II.

erm... you mean photo taken with the F58 + Lambency? Don't think so... Signither just quoted a photo where I was holding the F58 with Lambency attached. I was just playing around with it. Not really taking photos with it. So can't really judge if it is any good or not. Should be acceptable, I think? Any Lambency users here? icon_question.gif

Omni-bounce you mean the "condom" like diffuser aka Stofen-Omnibounce?

Lambency anytime for me, but sometimes I felt that it's pretty heavy and distracting. I'm using Demb now. Kinda like it due to its weight. smile.gif

Stofen Omnibounce for the compact & easy to carry, Lambency for the sheer additional surface area it offers.
