my mum ask me to buy a digital camera for her... but im noob about the camera....
then study and make survey, googling.. now i got 3 models to choose...  sony cybershot w120 canon powershot A2000IS nikon coolpix s550 but dont know which to choose... hope u guys can help me.. any other brand and model recommended is also allowed... budget is RM800 tq  This post has been edited by karLz: Jan 20 2009, 07:37 AM |

First of all, I'm a newbie to the DSLR scene. I've seen quite a few camera's pop up in this thread and one which interested me was the Sony A200. The only thing is, if I'm not mistaken, it doesn't have live view, which is a sort of downside for me. Wondering what recommendations you guys can give me. Thanks in advance. |

is the camera price going to down or increase.. because if it's going to increase i need to buy immediately using cc.. if it's not then i need to save money and buy by mid of this year.. by the way i planned to buy Canon 450D.. any advice? |

Prosumer has more PRACTICAL functions than the PnS, like manual shutter/aperture, etc. Try going for the Panasonic Lumix FZ28 or if you can bump your budget up, get the Lumix LX3. Spot metering, taken from wikipedia:-FaR QUOTE Spot metering is very accurate and is not influenced by other areas in the frame. It is commonly used to shoot very high contrast scenes. For example, if the subject's back is being hit by the rising sun and the face is a lot darker than the bright halo around the subject's back and hairline (the subject is "backlit"), spot metering allows the photographer to measure the light bouncing off the subject's face and expose properly for that, instead of the much brighter light around the hairline. The area around the back and hairline will then become over-exposed. Spot metering is a method upon which the zone system depends. I don't think I need that. |

Thanks! for a people that is new to photography u dun need this spot metering... normally u will only set it to evaluative metering... try to discover others simple functions on ur dslr 1st b4 try this setting because this is normally for professionals... because 1000D is a entry level dslr so canon insist not to include this function on it...-FaR |
