At last I've decided to go for the Rebel XTi 400D as it's got CF! But I still require some more information regarding the whole matter..first of all my price range is 2000-2200RM including every accessories and I guess I would be doing landscapes, portraits and greyscale phorographies as much as possible! so as an dslr entry level, what I really intend to know is like,

1.should I skip the kit lens and just get the 400D body and some other lens along with that? kit lenses are 18-55mm I believe and I don't want any heavy lens stuff as being one dslr beginner.so please suggest guys!

2.And where may I possibly get the best possible deals for the camera, lens and all other accessories in KL?

Although I am not from Kl guys, but still I am trying to get my very first DSLR from there through a friend of mine living there because 400D and 350D models are already discontinued over where I live, which is Dhaka, Bangladesh at the moment.. so please help me out guys! and Thanks a million in advance! biggrin.gif

All depends on the lens you use. That's the advantage of an SLR, the versatility of its lenses to cover every kind of photography.
Want to shoot macro pics? Just screw on a macro lens and you're ready to shoot.

both of you have almost same specs..u can get d90 BODY only.. So i suggest d5000 with kit lens. 40D is good too...but with ur budget u can only get the body.
