there were people telling me how playable RTS like C&C:TW was on Xbox360.

but that's just C&C la. tongue.gif RTS and gamepad is a lousy combo.
*
It might work for games like TW or even RA3 but it will definitely wont play RTS like Sup Com,CoH,Rome:Total War,DoW etc.I think games with complex strategies wont work on a console because of the gamepad. It's not flexible enough.

Besides,360's C&C3:TW only support 4 players and have much smaller maps. Some of the gameplay modes wont even work on PC.

Do correct me if im wrong.

RTS is best for PC, no doubts. I'm just saying RTS on console should prefer to be played with voice commands, but in a smaller scale battle.

Ps4 1-2 years? It took about 8-10 years for a PS3 to come la lar bro....

PC...u can work, on9, do whatsoever man. seriously PC. And it will last long time also.
*
Actually PS2 was 6 years old when PS3 came out. Not PS2 is already 2 years. But I doubt PS4 will be out anytime soon. Atleast another 4 years.

For me I personally prefer my PS3 cause a computer is too hard to maintain. It may be high end now, it won't be in a year. As for consoles, consoles are consoles. You don't really have to worry about hardware. Graphics now is as good as it goes. Any better is just a bonus in my eyes.

If your into RTS then by all means get a PC.

PC is actually easy to meet the high ends imo IF you don't always go for max settings

Just get this years high end hardware

Then wait out for another lets say 4-5 years before upgrading?

PC

Yea, but sometimes it kinda sucks that you know you're not playing to the max capacity the game can give. tongue.gif

well, ps3 is using old graphics card anyway. todays games, people are more keen on graphical thingy compared to gameplay. look at crysis, assassin creed, and so on. despite people b****ing about how simple and repetitive the actions were, the games sold very well. since crysis for example is the best benchmarking games out there. PC is the tool for benchmark fans. why do we need to benchmark on consoles anyway since we have the same points? tongue.gif

The main thing about this options is that which games do you play most? There are some genres you play most on PC or maybe on PS3. Up to your liking.

I sincerely thank everyone who given their opinion, although mostly supporting the PC, guess i posted this in the wrong section. However, I think is still alright, as long as the opinions are not bias.

I understand most of the best features on the PC that got to offer. Now is time to voice out my doubt.

1. I like RTS, grow up with RA1 and RA2, WCTFT, SC1 and also many amazing RTS. I was no doubt eager for SC2 and the RPG Diablo3 as well. Like one mentioned, I would just get the PC for these games. But I had been waiting for so long, and there seem to be no news on when these games would release. If Blizzards would just announce they release next month, I will not be posting this here, PC all the way.
On the other hand, I like adventure action games as well like Dead Space (Played on my freind house, awesome, although i know i can get it for pc, but i will get to that later), MGS4, GTA4, AitD, Silent Hill 5, Siren:NT, etc. I know some of it, i can played it on the PC as well, but the problem is, I am quite a noobs in adjusting performance of gaming over the PC. With PS3, i know everything will run smooth, just load and play. But for PC, i might need to adjust this adjust that to feel the non-lag experience, thumb down this and that to get the best spec, and risk of performance drop too. That the real No 1 concern.

2. My next concern will be getting the best PC. I been doing research over the past 2 weeks, and saw so many variaty of hardware and gadget over the PC. I been away from PC for quite sometimes now. So I am alittle lost, and i remember last time, power supply is just power supply, now even the PSU broken into various range and not cheap too. And the more i calculated for a decent PC, as accordance to Goldfried webs reccomendation, its probably cost around RM2000-RM3000, which is far more expensive than the PS3. The real thing is, I wanted to get PC, but with minimal experience of hardware purchasing and manipulation of the setting everytime i wanted to play games, seem to be one of a cons for me.

3. Thirdly, I am going to play this on my HDReady LCD TV 37". Somehow, my instinct tell me to get something fit my TV, which is the console? I am just too afraid too many issues appear when i try to hook the PC to the TV, as i am not too technical on this issue.

4. As for ah hem games, PC does help a lot to save money although i dont mind buying Ori games for PS3. But in this case, PC seem to win although i need to apologize for thinking this way, By all mean, support Ori.

5. Console life line is also a problem, cause like what everyone said, PS4 coming in 2 years? This might all goes by speculation, but if PS4 really comes in 2 years, what about PC? Do you think the time a PC got outdated much faster than a console? If i try to get a RM2000++ PC, do you think i might need to overhaul the PC after 2 years to replace most of the hardwares to keep up with the gaming tech?

6. I had bad experience on PC, always stuck on system unable to play this and that games, too much hectic in cracking and installation, sudden performace drop during midgameplay, etc. Probably i am too noob to handle a PC, but I got other thing to handle in life, time spent to investigate this and that really killing my time, and I just want to play a game sad.gif

7. GOd i like keyboard and mouse, been growing up with them. Not to say i hate the PS3 controller, i own a PS2 as well. But somehow, I totally agree RTS and FPS suck with PS3 controller.

8. As for more thing to do on the PC, like online, net surfing etc, I also got a moderate laptop to do all those work.

As from the above, please advice and give some enlightment, thank you very much in advance. Also thank for keeping this topic healthy smile.gif

That is the line. Depends on what type of game you like to play.

Anyway, PS3 graphics may be "dated" compared to the higher end PCs, but to me graphics are just fine there. As I said, any better will just be a bonus for me. I prefer gameplay and action games, tps. And those suit playstation better.
