He used the phone for less than 2 hours after he noticed something wrong... Just on the phone with the dealer... offer refund.. but my brother will lose RM380 (of course he can't refund to the shop will full price, as the phone is now considered 2nd hand...)
He paid the price RM1180 for the phone... and the shop offer him a refund of RM800
So huge difference

Should he take the refund offer.. (use less than 2 hours... but lose ~RM400).. just because the shop's definition of "Korea AP" is different ~.~

My bro, just bought a phone..
A Galaxy S3... at some kind of Phone Fair or smth...
The Price.. huge difference from the original (RRP 2k~)

He check a bit.. outlook buttons the same.. Screen.. smooth..
Software - ICS 4.0.3 for SGS3 and a lil bit of this and that...
He ask, why so cheap... the dealer says this is a KOREA AP SET...
So... later, he buy...

Upon arrive home.. he check and check sommore...
Realize that the Battery is Sunsang not Samsung (font's the same ~.~")
Check IMEI... there's 2 IMEI appear (i donno bout other GS3).. but the phone only have 1 Sim slot...
512RAM and 2GB internal memory...
Screen Reso is  800x480 (typical Android reso?).. GS3 is 1280 x 720, rite?
And running benchmark, the result was soo low compared to the original GS3

I check on Samsung Korea.. but I can't find the same phone spec...

Is this considered an AP phone?

*To me it's more like a FAKE phone ~.~;

I've returned the phone witha refund of RM1k.
That's 180 for a lesson...

Before that, I went to Tribunal Pengguna and KPNDKK (or smth), discuss with them.
They say, it is possible to get the refund but they will also consider the depreciation value, and they told me, it might take up to a month before I was called for any kind of trial. Within that one month, a lot of thing can happen. And for a non-original stuff (imitation) the depreciation rate will be higher... And I might be getting less...

So, this'll be quite a lesson for me ...

How to check the phone is original or AP Set?is it only through check IMEI.
AND
how to check Samsung galaxy s3 IMEI?

1) For those samsung phones S3, note, etc in Harvey Norman, are they original set? no hanky panky?
2) And if the phone is bought from Harvey Norman and there is some issue, can I bring the phone to Samsung authorized dealer or service center?

Ori, charger will be Malaysia head.
AP follow the country it was suppose to be sold.
Some seller will change the charge head for you.
Others same la bro..

On phone, press +#06# IMEI will be shown.
Then call Samsung ask. Google the number.

The net say need 10 hour for first 3 time charging ...is it true?

Charge maybe 4 hours OK.

Any guideline from the Samsung?
