water set not the same as AP huh??
coz from my understanding isn't last time handphone seller called those AP set as "underwater set"???
means smuggled and tax free!!!!

and for those what's so called AP set..."imported set"
why IMEI on the phone not the same as it box???
why do they need to take out phone and it accessories out of the box???
to avoid taxes right???
as we are certainly not sure how "SAFE and SECURE" when they packaging the phone@accecories before the ship it in to malaysia without the boxes!!!

actually when you purchasing AP set...you are "actually" purchasing a "2nd hand phone"

FACTORY (phone have been packed securely in the box) --> DEALER (phone still in the box) ---> purchased by AP company (phone taken out off the box) --> SHIP TO MALAYSIA -->AP company (repack the phone into box) --> COMSUMER

hahhahahah...that only my theory lol~
and "maybe" that's why AP set got a lot of problem..
maybe the AP company worker just "throw" your phone into a box with others stuff???
or maybe they just put all the phone into a giant suitcase and post it by Airasia to malaysia???

Previously used fews nokia AP set, but never encounter any problems. I didn't really notice the differences between AP and Ori. Except the sticker of course.

water set means those illigal phone, exp those didnt pay the tax, or even stolen from the industry/company, like those selling at the highway, while AP is legal, the AP company pay taxes & import them to malaysia. but they take out the accesories and change it to some cheap one, including the casing of the phone, if not why u think they sell it cheaper than ori?

Some Ap set still using original accesories.. maybe some of irresponsible seller.. take it out and replace using non original @ Grade A / Grade AA

they sell cheaper than ori because.. of the market price and it own value...



yeah.. AP company pay taxes and import them.. .. and that also same like original phone too.. But.. as usual.. the market price for original will be higher.. [maybe they want profit] .. for example.. you bought Nike shoes from Nike retailers for RM 249 .. but.. you can get it cheaper from AL - Ikhsan.. which sells original too.. about RM 229 only[without discount] .. so... why do you think it is cheaper.. because.. the Nike want to sells it in higher price..[marketing and profit] .. actually.. the original phone can be at low price..[although not same as AP] ..but it has high in value..


the another reason is because of warranty.. the original phone provided with original warranty[warranty by Nokia/Samsung/Sony ercisson etc]..

but AP phone is provided with warranty by AP company.. well.. you can know which is better right.. if something wrong with your phone..

the original phone can be replaced / if hardware.. replace by original hardware..

while AP company [as far as i know].. they are not provide changing phone / hardware.. replace by another hardware[maybe 2nd hand] and their service is suck..

so.. the original phone is sells higher because.. they provided with better warranty and services..

did anyone heard or deal with NanYang Choice before ?? this ap company reliable or not?

that means when order that time tell the shop you want it to be sealed..

But to me ... AP set sells so cheap [my guess] is because AP sets follows the international market price..

It is not because AP set is cheap but Ori Set is overcharged ...


Ori sets got too many cons to be considered sometimes...

1. Ori sets comes in LATE, for example Milestone which already available but only comes in to Malaysia market after few months
2. Ori sets priced too high, for example Milestone Ori cost RM2k while AP cost RM1.5k .....
3. Related to 2. when you compare with your friends that got AP sets of the Milestone while you got the Ori sets... you would always have the feeling that you've got ripped off... It's like he had only RM1.5k budget but he get to have the same phone as you..

W705. He claims its original. What do i check on the back of the phone

- The imei number tally on 2 sides (box, Phone)
-There is a THOURUS sticker but no date sticker ( phone shop sticker)

And to my shockeness in my box there is another sticker same with the one sticking on the box . Did i just get cheated?

thorus sticker is ori... and se hp doesnt have date, unlike nokia...

is that only htc shop selling ori and all the booth are selling AP?
as i heart HTC shop warrant is 2 year+screen warranty and the seller at booth only give 1 year warrant, that mean they are selling AP?

ORI = SIS (2 yrs)
AP = other (1 yr - 15 mths)

Confirm it's not SIS set already if they offer 1 year warranty. SIS come with 2 years warranty.
