QUOTE(nimloth32 @ Mar 31 2009, 05:24 PM) just got my psp.. you were being cheat, it comes with the console these days....However, when it comes to Memory Stick, last time i read through one forum it did some comparison between Sony MS & Sanddisk, Sanddisk is having better performence in read & write data, speed is even faster than Sony High Speed MS. |

QUOTE(nimloth32 @ Mar 31 2009, 05:24 PM) just got my psp.. Do some research before buying anything bro.You can avoid being cheated by doing that. Here are some example. Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo ![]() Or you can try the Photofast cr5400 MicroSD adapter Usually game shop only selling ciplak Memory Stick Pro Duo.Cheap but non reliable.Slow also. Do some research on how to differentiate the genuine & the ciplak one. |

Best and easiest way to determine if your stick is original or not if you ask me, is to check the information of your stick on the psp itself. Press triangle at the game tab (example), and select information.
If it displays "MagicGate Supported", it's an original stick. Else, you know lah. |

better buy it from your local store. It's not really that expensive 8 Gb for rm100 and 4 Gb for rm50. try to bargain for a better price first though.

For original Sony stick, buy it at Sony Style.Check pricing here. For Sandisk, buy it at trusted Sandisk retailer. If you wanna buy online, there lot of seller in LYN.No need to buy from ebay. This post has been edited by powx84: Apr 1 2009, 04:31 PM |

QUOTE(nimloth32 @ Apr 1 2009, 08:12 PM) oh ok ok, but i just want to know..what is the difference btw ciplak and original memory stick? thx for your patience.. What i really hate about the fake pro duo is the write speed.Very slow. But if you dont mind waiting 20 or more minute to transfer 2gb files, just get the fake one. If you want to buy an original i suggest you try to find Sandisk Ultra II (15mb read/write) or Sandisk Extreme III (18mb read/write).Its freakin fast. Here are some benchmark using Blackspeed 2 Sony 4gb fake Pro Duo Sony 4gb Ori Pro Duo Sandisk 8gb Ultra II This post has been edited by powx84: Apr 3 2009, 01:46 AM |

QUOTE(muhdzakaria @ Apr 2 2009, 08:50 PM) There is just one type, PSP2000. Of course, there are different models for different regions, but apart from the colour and the region, it's perfectly the same. Newer slim models are equipped with a Pandora proof motherboard, making them pretty much unhackable for the time being. |

A noob question. Can a 3.40 OE-A PSP upgrade directly to 5.00M33 or need to upgrade to 3.52M33-4 1st?
