Wow, that is a really high price for a white Min. Schnauzer. I'm assuming Kenji does not have an MKA cert, since white Min. Schnauzers are not recognized by MKA?

Puppy is like that wan ma...new environment will make noise wan I remember Scottie likes to follow me wherever I go too...well,he still does it now. haha! But he won't bang the door la if I go to the bathroom. He will sit outside and wait for me. Only in the bedroom he will scratch at the door want to come inside...

Not sure...probably, coz most of the Min. Schnauzers I got to see in person were Salt & Pepper or Black & Silver. The only black solid ones I saw were in a confirmation show. White ones only on photos...

My trainer suggested using ground chillies' juice, diluted with water and spray on areas that you don't want your puppy to bite. If she bites your old wallet again, spray it with the mixture, then take like a drop of that mixture and smear it on your puppy's tongue. She would definitely feel the spiciness and smell the wallet's new 'smell'. After that, she probably wouldn't want to bite other things with that smell since it reminds her of that nasty experience.

I have yet to try this method though coz I'm very lucky in the sense that Scottie has been a very well-behaved and gentle boy since puppy. He doesn't bite other things in the house except soft toys and rubber toys, so I don't have to do any proofing. But my trainer does it all the time for new puppies who bite, and he's been training for more than 30 years, so I guess it's worth a try Let us know if it works!

Ermm...I don't think OB teaches that, but they do teach the dogs to 'Leave It', as in when presented with a distraction (like another dog walking by, food, etc), we tell the dog to Leave It, and they don't go after that distraction. No puppy proofing or toilet training...that you would have to learn from books or the Internet I guess.

The chillies you need to use is fresh chillies...tumbuk them until got juice, and use ONLY the juice to dilute in water...use a bit more water than the chillies' portion though. We just want it to be nasty, but not too nasty it spoils the dog's tongue. Hope it will work!

Want to ask huh...you know the park at Bukit Jalil near the golf course there, where they got small replicas of buildings in other countries? I was wondering if we can bring our doggies there for walks ar? I like the sceneries there, and thought of taking Scottie there to take photos but not sure if I will get halau by the guards anot. If you've been there, did you manage to see any signs saying no pets allowed?

Oh no...you shouldn't leave Bebe's food out and let him choose when to eat and when not to eat. That is why he choosy lo...you manja him too much ady To break his habit you can just put down the food at his meal time, and leave it there for only 10-15 minutes. If he doesn't want to eat, pick up the bowl and keep the food away. No treats in between whatsoever. At the next meal (maybe in the evening if you feed twice a day, or if once a day the next day) put down the same food for him to eat. Healthy dogs won't starve themselves wan. Eventually he will get that when you put the food down, he must finish it or he won't get anything at all.


Hehe...puppies are always jealous and VERY attention-seeking, which is why they cry/bark/whine when they see us playing with the other dogs. I experienced this with Scottie's puppies when they were with me Everytime I play with Scottie and leave them in the playpen, they cry and make noise until I let them out to play together. Then only they play quietly...LOL!

Okay, I can't really explain how to teach the quiet command, so I found this link which just about tells it right, except that now when Scottie barks too much / too loud, I have to literally shout out the command. But he gets it still and will stop after one or two barks.

We can also distract our dogs from barking at whatever is agitating him. I find that quite useful (sometimes) with Scottie. I just whip out a treat, ask him if he wants it(the treat) and get him to play the Watch game with me. If all else fails, I bring him away from the distractions lo

I have heard of dogs that purposely won't eat for 3-4 days, after which they cannot tahan they will eat. It's a method people call 'tough love'. It might seem cruel, but we have to be firm sometimes. Main objective of training is to ensure WE get the desired behavior from our dogs, not the other way around (quote from my trainer). Allowing the dog to dictate when or what to eat is THEM training us already...

Well, if Bebe will only eat at the stroke of midnight on the 2nd day, I think you can extend the tough love until 3rd day morning to feed him. Hope he won't be so picky soon...

I don't agree lo that puppies can't be trained in a small age. I've trained before Scottie's pup since he was 8 weeks old...he knows how to Sit, Down and Come already, and when I say Quiet he will stop crying too. Like h71y6 says, we need to be patient and consistent lo. It's okay if they don't get it the first few times...you don't have to push the training to one whole hour every day. Just spend a few minutes throughout the day try to train him, and eventually he will get it. As puppies yes they will take a little longer to get what we want, but that doesn't mean they can't be trained

Wah...Bebe very geng lo, can just not eat even though he's vomiting bile already. :S Make sure he gets loads of water even though he's not eating yeah...
