(not to encourage abusing) actually it doesn't really matter which apple id or credit card you use for purchasing. all you need to do is to confirm your status on the education section and you are good to go. So far there isn't any verification required yet. we trust apple. apple trust us. it's that simple. as me myself, i'm not a student, but a part time university lecturer at thailand.

Who is Eligible To Purchase
The following K-12 individuals are eligible to purchase through the Apple Store for Education:

1) Employee of public or private K-12 institutions in Malaysia

2) School Board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed members

3) PTA or PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers

4) Employee of a public or private, profit or non-profit preschool
Staff of Ministry of Education

The following Hi-Ed individuals are eligible to purchase through the Apple Store for Education:

1) Faculty or staff member of a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia

2) Student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia

3) Parent purchasing on behalf of his or her child who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia

4) Staff of Ministry of Education

for me i will buy ACPP together wif the product
as apple parts replacement is Quite expensive
E.g. Super Drive cost 700 ringgit to replace one

I planned to buy it last time, but after this WWDC, I changed my mind, Apple releases new products so fast, the price don't justify for the price dropped within one-year xD I've faith in Apple products that they won't give up on me easily tongue.gif

one thing abt delaying buying the ACPP
there was once i call up to ask for some help, after verification, they told me sorry, my complimentary call help has expired, so they could not offer assistance, however they could only send me links

i bought my mac from apple edu store MY also. i just agree watever they asked and place order .. no any verification and they dun check to make sure u are student or not. wink.gif

Just received my new MBP!!! It's fantastic! Screen is awesome. Next thing to do is upgrade my HD to Seagate Momentus 500G, 7200 RPM and 4G Ram. It took only 2 days to reach me. Good job Apple.

they do call you and ask for your student ID and your university. Other than that, nothing much..

anyone purchase ACPP from Apple Store before? how was the delivery for ACPP? is it they send the ACPP like those purchase at retail store or just send the code digitally?

coz i might have problem receiving the delivery...

so those apple people lied to me. when i called they say they i need to show student ID la then will take few days to verify la,.. must ship in the students name la..

so anyway, i got a niece in college and got her ID.

I put in an order 2 days ago for a mbp. till now no one has called me to show an ID. The order status is "prepared for shipping" already... so seems like they dont verify.. anyways will update you guys in a few days

I haven't receive my purchased yet and I do bought it for student price. Till now they haven't ask anything about student ID or anything else. BTW my orderd already ready for shipment. Maybe next week it would arrive.... biggrin.gif

yes! my mbp is on the way to me. should reach me on Monday. shipping address is my office not my niece's, so apples education policy is very much a no questions policy. well, i guess its now gonna get maximum abuse my us malaysians biggrin.gif . but hey we r supporting the economy yea..
